Innovative and impressive portable projector!
My family plans to buy a projector by considering reliable brand, bigger screen, space wise, multiple use and easy to carry on. After some research, BENQ GV30 is the ideal projector for us.
I have used this innovative BENQ GV30 for a while. Here are the reasons why we choose it and some benefits to share.
1. GV30 is a stylish and creative projector. We are simply in love the shape and design. It sits on a magnetic stand that keeps it from rolling away and lets you rotate it up or down to adjust the image height.
2. GV30 offers 135 degrees of projection angle with auto focus and vertical keystone. Thanks to the effective auto focus and keystone, the projector can reliably and efficiently adjust to find the best viewing angle most of the time. This makes GV30 can be a multi-angel projection in where you want easily. We can even project video on the ceiling and lay on the bed to watch it. That’s really cool.
3. GV30 includes an Android TV dongle inside and Wireless projection for multiple OS and devices. (Android phone/Chrome browser/iOS devices) It also can airplay. That is very easy and convenient.
4. Audio quality and volume are both impressive for the GV30’s size and price. It has built-in speaker and can also be served as a capable Bluetooth speaker. The clear sound profile means that your content is perfectly hearable even at low volumes, and extra bass leads weight to more intense or impactful scenes. Also, if needed, you can connect the external speaker via Bluetooth. We connect our BOSE speaker via Bluetooth. Easy-peasy!
5. GV30 really makes a projector truly portable. It has a finger-sized loop makes you easily to carry from room to room. We will use this projector for our son’s Halloween party and funfest in the backyard. Our neighbors will be jealous!
Overall, we enjoy using this projector. Especially, kid has a great time with friends!

The best picture quality portable projector
Earlier I used Nebula Capsule II and now i had taken BenQ GV30 and compared the video it is 100 times better in picture quality and brightness
I should say I am really impressed with the overall picture quality.
The speakers are really loud, you wouldn’t really need any external speakers.
The only thing I am not happy with is the battery, I wish they put on a fast charging feature. The brightness on the normal mode is slightly higher than the default battery mode but then would need to compromise on the battery life.
Overall I am really happy with the projector

This thing is amazing, but you need to know what to expect.
First off, the picture quality isn’t going to knock your socks off with a whopping 720p, but the images are good enough to view movies and video games with no complaints. If you’re looking for a super crisp picture, you should invest in a big screen TV or put a couple of thousand bucks into a laser projector and good screen. I use this in my apartment and can move it from room to room if needed without using a screen. My favorite thing about the unit is that it rotates vertically, so it’s easy to show my daughter videos of space or her favorite cartoon on the ceiling. The speaker is very loud and clear, but you can link other speakers if you want. I use mine with a 3rd gen Amazon Fire Stick because it fits in the unit perfectly at 3.4″ long. I have 4k Fire Sticks, but they are too long, and need to be plugged into the unit externally. The battery lasts as long as advertised, so it should be able to do a full movie unplugged. When unplugged, the picture automatically gets dimmer to conserve battery, so pick your showing times and locations well. Overall, I really like this unit for my usage.

Works perfectly with firestick!!!!
Everything is plug and play, just replace the android stick provided with a Firestick (it fits perfectly inside the unit)… Only caveat is that you will need to use two remote controls (one for the projector and the other to control the firestick)
The picture adjust automatically to any angle… Very clear on dark environments, not bright enough on lighted environment, but clear enough.
Very happy with this purchase….
UPDATE 10/08/22 NEWER FIRESTICK DO NOT FIT!!!
Bought a new 4k firestick and the dimensions changed, the new firestick is longer than the older versions, therefore IT DOES NOT FIT.

Cool design but a loud fan ruins the experience
I love the design of this projector – you can rotate it within its base. I found the built-in speaker to sound really nice, and the picture quality was really nice as well. But the fan runs loud and that really detracts from the unit – otherwise I would have kept it.

Impressive device
This is an impressive device. The sound, the quality of image, the ease of move and tilt that offers an infinite possibility to project in any direction. Nothing like the traditional projector. Not to mention the ease of connectivity with your phone to stream from any platform.

Perfect for our use case
First off, if you want a normal TV experience this probably isn’t for you. It’s overpriced for that use case. We love it though, we didn’t want a TV to be a central part of our house. We can set it up in under a minute in any room in the house, movie night in the boys room, late night movie once the kids are asleep, it works great for all that. It’s an all in one device, just turn it on and go (picture, sound, smart tv apps, WiFi, etc).
They kids love it, and as they get older we are excited for all the fun memories we will make with them.
As for the project itself, it’s not the brightest or sharpest. But in this price range is about as good as it gets. If you don’t have a dark room though it’s almost impossible to use in the day (hence movie nights). At night you hardly notice the lack of brightness or sharpness. That empty wall in your living room is now a 120” movie theater screen. The sound is good, no complaints so far. Battery is like an hour, so no long movies without a plug somewhere.
Oh, no Netflix without some weird hacking.
We are very happy with our purchase, but know what you want out of this before you buy it.

Needs A fire stick to access Netflix
I love this projector! The only thing is that it doesn’t have Netflix on the USB provided. We put our own fire stick in to get Netflix so it was an easy fix. Also, it will warn you when only 20% of the battery is left but it doesn’t seem very accurate because it will still last a long while after that. We get tons of compliments when people come over and they always ask us to send them the link to purchase. Highly recommend!

cinema experience without leaving home
Just wow! Took a while to be delivered and to completely set up Google and Netflix but it’s definitely worth the wait. The design, clarity, brightness, auto focus, keystone correction and portability are some features that I truly admire about this device. It has great unbiased reviews on youtube and am so glad that I bought this instead of the very costly and overrated samsung freestyle. I’ll just buy a screen projector to enhance the picture quality during daytime.
