Samsung Q80D QLED 4K Smart Tizen TV

Great quality, very much worth it!! Do not have a single complain or thing I would change. very fast and comes with all the programs.

I’ve always been a fan of Samsung screens in general. This one doesn’t disappoint. The images are very vibrant and clear. I did play around with the saturation setting to see which I liked the most. It also has a faster processor than other TV I own. No lagging! Notably different though, is the remote control. You can charge it by solar but I am not sure when I will remember to put this outside and remember it’s outside. lol. It is rechargeable which is nice. No more looking for batteries from my kid’s toys!

picture is very clear and Tv operates at a much faster pace then other models while using WIFI. We love the new TV.

My salesperson was great, but it stops there. They weren’t timely in letting me know that my purchase was ready for pickup. They only emailed/texted me once to say it was a delay, but if I hadn’t decided to go online and check I wouldn’t have known that my item was ready for pickup. I am so disappointed in the lack of communication that Best Buy has with their customers. I will not purchase anything again.

The television is excellent and the geek squad did an excellent job of installing it.

Can not review this t v. Best Buy did not deliver it. I was pixxed I did NOT want this t v to begin with. I was talked into it by the sales person. Waited a week for the first delivery date that didn’t happen, then was told i would have to wait another 10days. Finally cancelled order

The quality of the image is outstanding, a great improvement over my previous 10-year old HDTV. I do have reservations however over the lack of instructions for adding streaming applications and selecting them later. The remote could definitely use some background lighting to find the control buttons in a darkened room.

The Q80D is a Great TV. The 50″ is only 60Hz Refresh Rate if you want 120Hz I would go 55″ or larger. The picture is great. The first thing I would do is turn off intelligent mode for better picture control. Remote is easy to use and charge. I have been using this TV for a month and it is the best that I have ever had. It does have a few downsides. The home screen looks nice however even in 2024 the Tizen OS still feels sluggish to me. Speakers are great for a TV this size but if used in a large room, I would suggest a soundbar or Sound System setup as well. Overall I love the TV.

This TV replaced an older Samsung set in my front room of approx 8 years old. While you wouldn’t think that would make a huge difference. I am seriously blown away and cannot speak highly enough over what is an huge upgrade for us.

Out of the box, relatively simple set up. No difficulty to speak of. If I had to estimate the time involved – about 15minutes. While if you’re like me, with replacing a moderately ‘older’ set. Like anything, you’ll need to get yourself acquainted with. As this has many options built in that my previous did not.

I’ve purposely held off on reviewing as I wanted to get a good feel prior. I’ve had the set in use for about 4 weeks now. It’s in our front room, which tends to be the gathering area for my family as it’s closest to the kitchen! I am completely comfortable using, have become accustomed to the buttons on the remote, and overall know my way around the interface. Hubby not so much, but that’s totally normal around here!

The picture quality is amazing. I’ve shared a few pics for you. It’s extremely realistic, true to life. With built in screen adjustment the easily adapts to rooms with full light coming in. Such a pleasure as the room it’s in is primarily full light throughout daylight hours. To the point I previously would have needed to keep my window coverings partially closed.
The quality of sound with auto adjustment will blow you away. Easily theatre quality in a large main room. Personally I do not feel there’s any need for additional sound bar or speakers.

Everything you need, think you need or may require in the future. It’s all there, at your fingertips a couple clicks away. Easily maneuver through multiple apps, bounce between tons of free shows and movies from your childhood. It comes with Samsung TV Plus which was a first for us and I’m loving it. It’s a free streaming service with over 350 channels. We’ve found so many shows I thought were lost forever. Quite impressive Samsung. Additionally Smart Hub makes controlling all the much smarter than me devices in my home easily accessible. Alexa is built in and I’ve also noticed I’m able to have the tv sound come through my Echo Show which is kind of cool when I’m in the kitchen cooking. If gaming is your thing, no worries as it’s all there as well.

Overall I am so pleased and truly enjoying our new tv. As I mentioned above, I hadn’t really given much thought to our set being outdated at 8 years old. But Wow, what an amazing difference this has made for our tv time.

I am legally blind and purchased this tv for the accessibility features. The Samsung Q80D has relumino mode. This is a great feature for people with low vision to help enhance details. The ability to use bixby voice or alexa enabled devices to have voice commands to make things even more user friendly. The video quality is great.
Like any TV there is a bit of learning to be done such as familiarizing yourself with the menus and the remote which also has a tutorial on the TV and much more. This TV is great. Haven’t had any issues in the first month of having it. If I do I will update this review.

I replaced my older Samsung TV with this QLED and I’m extremely happy with this. Very functional and responsive. The remote charges via charging cord OR sunlight, which is amazing. A lot simpler remote too, fewer buttons, easier to function. Alexa is integrated in the TV and you don’t need to have the remote right next to you for it to work.

The TV has access to many of the most common streaming apps, so being able to access them, and control most functions of the TV via Alexa is a massive plus if you’re like me and lose the remote often.

Brightness, color saturation, contrast, visibility in dark scenes, definition. It’s all a great improvement from what I had before, and I had a TV just a generation behind the QLED.

Definitely recommend. Go bigger if you have the space. You won’t regret it.

The item was not installed due to being broken upon arrival with the installers. It is back ordered a couple of weeks with no compensation for the inconvenience.

The clarity of this TV is excellent. It was very easy to set up. I love all of the apps that are included. I don’t need a cable box or a Roku or fire stick with this tv. I have all of the content I need/want already built into the tv. The remote is easy to navigate.

Very beautiful picture indeed. Fast response screen and very bright colors. This is my first QLED TV and I am enjoying watching 4K videos. Sound quality is great as well. I have an older computer, and even with a great video card, the full HD display 1920×1080 screen is not great. I guess I need to upgrade the computer to one that supports 4K for a more high quality image. The remote control is minimal and I wish it had the full range of buttons.
