Customer Reviews Summary

The AOC AG276QZD2 27″ QD-OLED Gaming Monitor impresses users significantly, with most reviewers highlighting its outstanding OLED panel, which delivers deep blacks and vibrant, accurate colors. Gamers, in particular, appreciate the monitor’s excellent 240Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 0.03ms response time, creating an exceptionally smooth and responsive gaming experience. Users transitioning from traditional IPS or LCD monitors note a substantial upgrade, frequently describing the visual experience as transformative and unmatched in its price range.

Performance in SDR mode is universally praised, though users report mixed experiences regarding HDR mode, citing color accuracy issues, particularly with reds appearing muted or orange-like. Brightness is adequate for most scenarios but might fall short for those accustomed to higher-end HDR displays. Despite these drawbacks, most reviewers are impressed with the value, especially when purchased at discounted prices during sales.

The monitor’s user-friendly OSD (On-Screen Display) and joystick control are also highlighted positively. Some users note frustrations related to the mandatory pixel refresh feature every four hours, although many accept this as necessary OLED maintenance.

Gamers especially note the monitor’s ability to enhance immersive gaming experiences significantly, describing visuals as “stunning” and “transformative.”
  • Smooth Gaming Performance: The combination of a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time results in exceptionally fluid motion clarity, highly beneficial for fast-paced gaming. A reviewer notes, “The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make gameplay feel buttery smooth.”

  • HDR Implementation Issues: Several reviewers indicate significant problems with HDR mode, specifically mentioning poor color accuracy and limited brightness. Users describe colors as “washed out” and reds as inaccurately rendered, suggesting that firmware updates might address these concerns.
  • Reflective Screen: The glossy finish, while enhancing visual clarity, can cause reflections in brightly lit rooms. Users recommend managing room lighting carefully or using the monitor primarily in dim conditions.
  • Mandatory Pixel Refresh: A frequent complaint among users is the pixel refresh reminder every four hours, interrupting their workflow or gaming sessions. One user describes this feature as “annoying,” but most acknowledge its necessity to prevent OLED burn-in.

THIS MONITOR IS STUNNING

I was hesitant about OLED with some users reporting eye strain. But the colors and HDR on this monitor make games like Doom Eternal full on eye candy.
This monitor feels great for Valorant and Delta Force.
Curious to see how the warrant program stacks up however. I would definitely buy this monitor again. The glossy finish looks premium
OSD is simple and quick to learn
Brightness peaks around 240nits but thats all I need.
HDR is stunning Im sure its better with mini led monitors due to higher peak brightness, but I’m more than satisfied with this monitor.
The stand is great it doesn’t take up too much desk space can comfortable game with 19″x15″ mousepad.
This monitor is also priced perfectly for its worth around the $600usd mark.
Sure there are 360hz qd oled panels out there, but you cant make use of it unless you have a beefy pc.
My build has a 5900x and 3080 ti and i can run 240 hz most games.
Great value monitor. This monitor made me a firm believer in OLED.
This monitor is factory color calibrated also.\

Edit: Download AOC G menu and make it easier on yourself to adjust brightness and color settings to your liking.

affordable OLED.

Pros
Monitor is glossy.
Monitor looks great with colors boosted using settings and HDR enabled.
Monitor handles motion clarity very well.
Input lag is the best you’ve ever used before.
Monitor is very silent and doesn’t seem to have an active fan to keep it cool.
Monitor is very fast when changing resolutions or alt-tabbing out of fullscreen mode in games, which other monitors in the past have not been.
Cons
Monitor came with minor scratches that seem to be affecting all QD-OLED monitors, but you can only see them in direct lighting.
Direct lighting makes blacks look gray.
Monitor has an ugly design.
Monitor’s stand doesn’t adjust in height.
Monitors speakers are terrible, but has them.
Overall
If you’re looking for an OLED monitor and have a dark room, I would give it the green light.

First OLED, and 1440p monitor, and can’t go back.

I’ve always been cautious about getting an OLED monitor due to factors like burn-in. But I bit the bullet with this one. I’ve needed an upgrade from 1080p for a while and going OLED was a hand-in-hand decision. I am an Unreal Engine developer for Fortnite and some other studios. Having pure color accuracy is very important and this monitor, as with any OLED, has amazing color accuracy and contrast. I’ve seen OLEDs before, but this display is gorgeous and I simply cannot go back now. The brightness was also a topic for concern I’ve seen, but its surprisingly brighter than my other monitors and the HDR is incredible. And while I can’t speak on burn-in due to only owning it for 2 days, the monitor comes with plenty of settings to prevent burn-in, along with a pixel maintenence mode that is prompted every 4 hours of constant use, so I would recommend doing it at LEAST once a day to keep the pixels healthy. Also saw complaints about text fringing but I haven’t really noticed it as an issue, especially if you use 125% DPI or higher. Build quality and the glossy screen is very nice. Overall I don’t have many complaints and I think its a phenomenal choice for its price range.

Amazing monitor for me might not be for someone else

Amazing monitor for the price as of today honestly would recommend it to anyone specially pc owners but I have used it on console and it looks fantastic while HDR mode is not the greatest I can’t complain because of the quality of the display.

Read this if you use the monitor for long hours!!

if you game for long hours just beware that the monitor has a display care feature that will ask you to turn off the monitor for a few minutes for me it’s not a big deal since while I have it turned off I go do something else but for some it might be a DEALBREAKER. I have enjoyed my time with this monitor so far I would recommend.

ABL too strong- okay for $399

quick and short
ABL is too annoying good price for a cheap oled would not recommend at msrp VRR flicker is very noticeable on this monitor — for a introductory oled this is okay id spend a bit more for like a LG gen 3 one

I just wanna write a pretty quick review after seeing some on youtube etc clearly being influenced by receiving the product for free.

I dont use oled monitors in SDR so i cant speak for it in that regard.

So just to start off I own the Alienware 1st gen qd oled the ultrawide
and a LG CX 65″.

Starting off with this monitor for the black friday price it is definitely okay however i would not buy this monitor at msrp.

Pros
– on sale for 399 its a steal for a oled
– its a qd oled I personally like them a little better over Woleds
– 240hz at 0.03 like most instant response times
typical oleds nowadays

Cons
– ABL is strong
– Display HDR is the most consistent in staying bright without the screen dimming
Anime games like Genshin and Wuthering Waves with flashy moves and ultimates dim the monitor
dims instantly teleporting to areas in genshin dims the monitor which is somewhat understandable you dont want a bright white screen flash on ur eyes instantly however once it dims it stays dimmed
there are some ways a little bit to mitigate this by choosing the Display HDR mode or HDR Game mode
the ABL is strong especially in the 1000 mode where the monitor just dims completely

playing games like COD will be fine as the monitor is not bright in regular gaming RE4 etc those all look good

-VRR flicker can get annoying

i’ll see if i can upload videos to demonstrate but its almost LG gen 1 levels bad

Great quality at a budget price

I got the AG276QZD2 with the QD-LED panel. Beautiful colors and contrast straight out of the box. HDR and gaming modes can be insanely bright. Delivers really good frame rates for gaming, and not bad for work either so long as you follow care instructions to avoid burn in.

Justen MinettiNovember 27, 2024

Excellent QD-OLED

This monitor utilizes a Samsung QD-OLED panel, which is absolutely excellent. If you managed to scoop one of these up for the Black Friday price, you got it for a steal. This is my first OLED monitor and it’s absolutely stunning. My old Mini-LED is definitely brighter, but this display is so much better overall. Excellent color reproduction, 240hz buttery smooth refresh rates, true blacks, excellent HDR, and more. The HDMI ports are 2.0 not 1.4 as shown in the pictures. You might expect a 2.1 port, but on a 1440p display, a 2.1 port is useless. The stand is great, it gives you a lot of different adjustments.

Dope

I got this for $200 dollars off, $399.99 is a good price for OLED but the only problem is that the HDR looks washed out, but it looks really good besides that. Colors are really good and accurate. The stand is sturdy and adjustable. Overall really good deal and amazing performance.
