Pros & Cons
Pros
- Exceptional Motion Clarity: The native 300Hz refresh rate and ELMB mode provide incredibly fluid motion and responsiveness, which users find superior for fast-paced competitive gaming compared to lower refresh rate displays.
- Vibrant and Accurate Colors: Reviews frequently highlight the excellent out-of-the-box color calibration and vibrancy, with many users considering it one of the best non-OLED IPS panels for both gaming and productivity.
- Robust Ergonomic Stand: The monitor features a high-quality stand that allows for extensive adjustments, including height, tilt, swivel, and rotation, providing a comfortable and customizable setup.
Cons
- Frequent Quality Control Issues: A significant number of reviewers reported receiving units with dead or stuck pixels, as well as noticeable backlight bleed and IPS glow in the corners of the panel.
- Poor Long-Term Reliability: Multiple users experienced total hardware failure, where the monitor stopped powering on or displaying images after only a few weeks or months of use.
- Inconvenient Stand Design: The stand's rear stabilizing leg is criticized for pushing the monitor too far forward on the desk, and the large footprint can be intrusive for users with limited desk space.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Ethan June 25, 2024Review source: Amazon600$ paper weight. I bought this monitor 3 months ago and was extremely pleased with it for 2 months until one day I turned it on and it just stopped displaying any images. No OSD, no images, just backlight. Nothing happened to it, just one day nothing. Now I have to RMA it with 7+ days shipping to arrive, 7+ days shipping for it to come back, and who knows how long it will take for them to actually “fix” it. Oh and conveniently, it broke JUST past the window I could return or ask for a replacement, because Asus doesn’t care about providing a product that will actually last longer than that 3 month window. My friend bought the exact same monitor within a week of me, and has spent the entire time owning trying to fix an issue where the monitor will go black for 2-5 seconds before returning to normal. Searching these problems on google reveals hundreds of people with the same issue. It’s just disappointing to see modern technology implemented so poorly. Stop cheaping out on the construction of your product and build a real product next time.

Obviously better than 144Hz, got it with onedead pixel
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Khvicha Makadze January 26, 2024Review source: AmazonMain reason of purchasing a new monitor was simple – my old was dying (looks like my cat decided to pee on it) For about $500 I decided to give with this one, it had a pretty good reviews here and on YT.
I mainly play CS2 and did so with 144Hz monitor before and honestly I was not expecting any real/visible visual improvement but oh boy was I wrong! It is so much smoother and snappier, which made the game feel so much more enjoyable!
Also, compared to my previous Samsung 144Hz monitor, this one feels so much lighter, which is a pro imo.
UPDATE as of March 2 2024:
Just noticed a dead red pixel, not sure how long it has been there, but the worst part is one of my “colleagues” was criticizing my choice of ASUS and apparently he was right. My first experience with ASUS monitor is not good. Can’t recommend.

Specs are OK. Everything else is TERRIBLE.
Austin Gray January 17, 2024Review source: Amazon– Colors require quite a bit of tweaking before they look good
– This monitor adjusts WAY too much. Good luck ever getting it centered in front of you.
– Huge bottom plate on the screen, makes the monitor ugly to look at. -

Great picture quality, no dead pixels, a tad pricey
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Amazon Customer January 7, 2024Review source: AmazonNo dead pixel on arrival. Great clarity and wonderful colors. 300 Hz is as smooth as butter and beneficial for gaming. Not 4K or OLED, which is behind current times and as such a bit pricey at $500.

Crystal clear picture, zero problems
Ethan Snyder January 6, 2024Review source: AmazonI upgraded from an HP Omen 27i 165hz and there is a clear visual difference when playing games, especially FPS. Easy to set up, tweaked a few of the monitor settings and it was perfect. I highly recommend for someone who wants to upgrade from their 120-165hz monitor, you won’t regret it. My only issue is how the monitor legs are positioned can make it weird when setting up on your desk since they stick out, had to swivel the monitor so that the legs were not intruding on my desk space.

Amazing monitor, 300hz is crazy smooth
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Skulde December 9, 2023Review source: AmazonI got this monitor to replace a dead Acer Predator from almost 8 years ago, which was 165hz. I didn’t think the difference would be all that noticeable but it is. For FPS gaming, this thing is amazing. Colors could be a little more vibrant, but I bought this specifically for games like OW, CoD, Insurgency, etc. Lots of nice little ROG touches in the box too, makes me confident that I bought a quality product that I will enjoy for years to come.
