BenQ TH575 3800-Lumen Full HD DLP Home Theater Gaming Projector

It was hard to find reviews on projectors being used specifically for golf simulators. This works very well, the speaker is exactly what you would expect out of something like this..enough to make noise…dont rely on it, add a speaker (easy enough) the zoom could be a little better as I cannot find the sweet spot in regards to distance from the screen when you might use an iPad or a PC. I compromised and maximized the distance for an iPad and when I use a PC change the PCs screen resolution.

That being said, very bright, even with the lights on, very sharp, and when I use just a single light in the room to see my tee box, it really shines. I will be using this for some time. My son heard “gaming” and it’s “challenge accepted” as soon as I get feedback on it, I will update this review.

Would I recommend for movies? Absolutely
Golf simulator? You bet, I would highly recommend, just know what platform you will use and set it up for that..
So far I like it a lot!

I have my PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, and Steam Deck hooked up to it. Image is clear after adjusting the focus and the colors look great. We had a 50 inch hisense tv that broke and decided to give projectors a try. Originally went with a epson 880 but the input lag was too noticeable to me so I did some research and ending up with this one. The Epson has an input lag of 40-50ms, for most people that would be ok but I am very sensitive to latency so it was unplayable. The TH575 is rated for 16.7ms, I plugged all my game consoles in for a test and did not notice latency at all. Everything felt very responsive.
Since it has pretty nice colors, the movie watching experience is also great. This projector is now our go to for any kind of entertainment. Its bright enough to use during the day even with the blinds open. As long as the sun isn’t shining right at the spot where the picture is you can easily use this for day time viewing. Overall this is a great projector for gaming and movies.

I bought this as a budget friendly option for backyard movie nights and I’m incredibly impressed with the picture clarity and brightness.

A while back I got a very cheap projector online, it work fine until it started to slowing burn the image. I tolerated this for a while but I wanted to fix this problem I did some investigation online to take off the damage polarizer film from the tiny LCD screen, unfortunately things did not work because I may accidentally damage it so that why I got this BenQ th575 projector which is a dlp projector that are not prong to screen burn issues ever since I got it it was working like a charm without any issues this is a great buy you won’t regret it.

Bought this projector for a home theater. Blown away by how clear it is. Have a firestick connected and it is absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend

I was very surprised with the quality of this projector, it works in our living room in the daylight with out any shades or curtains on the window. Easy to use and not too loud, super good value

I started having problems with this projector shutting off immediately after my purchase. I contacted BenQ tech support and spent more than a month collecting all the information they asked for, including taking videos of the problem so they could investigate the cause. Eventually, they told me via email, “we have determined that it is normal behavior so we’re not able to move forward with your case.”

I can’t believe I wasted all this money on a projector I can’t use. I will never buy another BenQ.

UPDATE: I kept contacting them and was eventually able to get an RMA. Not only does the bulb shut off intermittently, but the audio frequently drops out due to a power supply problem. They sent me a brand-new projector instead of repairing mine or sending me a refurbished unit, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the new projector had the same problem. Either the power supply has a production defect, or the design is inadequate to power the projector. Maybe this is why they discontinued this model so quickly. Stay away from this model.

SECOND UPDATE: I just got my third projector (same model). The new one shut off within the first hour of use. Both of the last two projectors have an audio dropout every two minutes. The defect is so regular, you can almost set a clock to it. I don’t know whether this is a design issue or a production problem. Either way, I’ll be sending this one back. I just looked on the BenQ website and saw that these are no longer discontinued?? Definitely stay away from this model.

This is my third projector (over the past 20 years). My last projector was about ten years old and due for a bulb so, with all of the tech advancements, replacing it with a new unit made sense. I use a 108″ (9 ft.) diagonal screen.

This BenQ is very inexpensive (about 1/2 the money of my old Optoma DLP), but is MUCH brighter and the colors are more vivid. I’m running on ‘ECO’ mode and still had to dial the colors/brightness back a bit. The difference between the two is stunning.

It also has a slightly smaller footprint.

My only niggle is the dreaded ‘screen door effect’. To me, it is much more pronounced here than with the Optoma (my wife doesn’t see it). It could be because the picture is so much brighter/clearer. I improved it somewhat by de-focusing the picture a bit, but on certain scenes (lighter colored backgrounds, mostly) it is still pretty noticeable. If you are one of the lucky ones who doesn’t see it, then this thing has a GREAT picture.

This would never be mistaken for a high-end unit, but – for the money – it is reeeeally good, and a pretty huge step up from the old machine. That’s not a knock on Optoma. I loved the old one. But 10-year-newer tech is hard to beat.

Long story short: STUPID good for the money, buy it.

Needed a relatively inexpensive projector for small conference room at work. This is perfect for projecting from laptop on to wall 8-12 feet away. Lumens project bright clear image even on just a painted wall. It is a basic machine that is a plug and play. Virtually no setup.

bought it for 3D and it works wonder! very bright and keystone very easy to use
