Great projector

The projector work great. I have had no problems with it so far. I would probably opted for the 685 just because the Android TV dingle doesn’t support Netflix. I tend not to use the included dongle because it doesn’t support Netflix. Other than that the dongle works fine. The projector only has vertical keystone adjustment no horizontal so you have to have the projector head on to the screen. Plenty of other adjustments. Also the sound from the projector is good but I tend to use an external speaker for more bass.

Nice quality!!

Just buy it lol I love it
EDIT: I watched the video in my review and it does NOT do this projector justice. It is NOT cloud or blurry. The picture/video is super clear in person !

Almost good enough

My unit could not do 120 hz at 1080p it switched to 1280 by 800 if i turn on 120hz (connected to rtx 3080)

Also fan noise and coil buzz was too loud for me

My movies on plex would flash while using the included dongle making it un usable

I returned it for these reasons

Great Projector, AMAZING GAMING PRFORMANCE!

Overall picture quality is really good, brightness is awesome to be able to use it during the day!

But the really awesome thing is the gaming performance with 120hz! This thing rocks paired with my Series X! I even did some pc gaming with an RTX3080 and it was absolutely amazing, super smooth and the same latency you’d find on really nice TVs which is crazy.

This is definitely a totally different experience than gaming on a TV, partly due to the immense size of the screen, but overall I’d definitely recommend this projector to anyone who wants a really smooth gaming experience with a huge screen size.

No compromises for the value!

The ultimate upgrade in any living space. 4k HDR content looks absolutely stunning for movie watching and the gaming experience is pretty great although I just purchased a console for our bedroom and coming from the best gaming PC setup money can buy to this it feels pretty bad but I think that’s more of the consoles lack of power rather then the projectors capabilities since on paper this projector is as capable as the most high end TV’s for gaming. Either way for the money I could recommend then projector nto anybody. Remember good picture only makes up half of the experience so budget yourself for a surround sound and if you are like me and find sound to be more important for the experience I highly recommend the Samsung HW-Q950A. It’s a 11.1.4 Dolby Atmos wireless surround sound system that really helps put you right in the middle of the scene or battle and completly changed this bedroom entertainment experience since I had only a 3.1 channel Soundbar at time of purchasing this projector. The sound bar also has 2 HDMI inputs to expand on the connectivity.

Looks bright and beautiful but….

There are pros for this projector. The picture is bright, clear, and beautiful and looks almost as good as any TV (to me anyway) but the big drawback for me at the moment is there is only one HDMI port which I overlooked when purchasing this one. I am now wishing I would have gotten the TH685 which has two HDMI ports. Also, I am having some trouble figuring out how to get my soundbar connected to this so that I don’t have to rely on the speakers on the projector. Don’t get me wrong, the speakers on the projector aren’t bad really but I’d prefer to have my soundbar provide the sound, just a personal preference. It looks beautiful but there are a couple of things to consider when deciding on which one you want in your house.

Great projector with some caveats….

This is a great projector. The picture quality is amazing and my family loves it. I just wish I would have gotten the non Android TV version. This the Android TV version does support HTMI arc but only at 5.1 surround sound. Because of this, I had to get an Nvidia shield to be able to use my Dolby Atmos setup. Now I have two Android TV devices connected to the projector and the projector always defaults to the built-in Android TV which gets very confusing and requires three remotes to control it. And you cannot simply unplug the built-in Android TV.

Excellent picture quality

Great picture quality. It’s bright enough to use with the shades open. It’s a pretty popular projector for gamers, but I purchased it for television and movies, and it works great for those purposes. I also own a HR2050A and this is a big upgrade from that projector.

685i is an amazing projector, 10/10 picture 7/10 speaker

The colors and contrast are great even in a moderately lit room, the picture taken was around 5pm and damn does the picture quality still looked amazing. Supports 4k/60fps +1080/120fps. The speaker was a very nice touch, i was very surprised how good it sounded. Hdmi arc is limited to 5.1 audio though. At the time of purchase it was 750 usd.
