    Typical Canon MFP- simply outstanding. This particular model, sold on Amazon, was not intended for sale in the USA (appears to be a Canadian unit). Consequently, Canon will not let you register the unit on it’s web site and therefore no warranty or product support. Would I consider returning it based on this? You’d have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands!

    Tested many settings across windows, Canon software, and the printer itself and couldn’t get good quality images. Printer also had an issue smudgung and creating dark lines across the top of each page, no matter the paper quality or size. Don’t recommend for printing quality images, even if it says 1200 dpi. Just not going to get it with this printer.

    Only had printer for about a month. Had hiccup with connecting to home network, but now online. Have used the Canon phone app (Android) to connect and print documents from the phone – no issues. Printer prints crisp sharp documents, and is fast at it. Have scanned documents/ID cards from the glass also and images come out well.

    The jury is still out. No instructions or printed owner’s manual included. The most difficult set up I’ve ever experienced. I had to go on the internet and hunt the drivers. I still wonder if I have the right software installed. Definitely NOT plug and play! This printer may still get returned, it is made so cheaply and it’s print is so-so. Cannon used to be a good product, so dissapointed.

    I’m giving this a 1-star review only because I could not activate the warranty. According to Canon’s website, the device was not intended for sale in the United States and refused to allow me to add it to my list of products I have. So, I’m stick with the 30-day return policy from Amazon and up Schitt Creek without a paddle after that.

    Otherwise the unit has been working great.
