    My Canon printer/scanner/photo copier died suddenly. It worked well, but did not last long. So I picked this printer/scanner/photo copier fax machine to replace it. Why does Canon have to make it so God Dxxm complicated? I freaking hate it. Yes, I am old and intellectually challenged but why can’t Canon warn people like me? Could it be Canon has some challenged employees?

    I made the mistake of assuming this printer would be able to accept a flash drive (a very basic option on past printers). The printer often will not connect to my computer, leading to tons of frustration with needing to restart my laptop for it to be recognized. It fails to send documents directly to email like the screen shows it should be able to. I finally ordered one of those old style usb connectors so I can move my laptop to my printer every time I need to print or scan something.

    I thought I would be getting a nice printer that would be cheap with ink in the future, but somehow the trade off to having cheaper ink is that you get a crappy printer. Canon still wins, we lose.

    After printing for three months, it suddenly shows a support code that isn’t even listed in the online manual. After googling the code, we found it and followed instructions, to no avail. It suggested we bring it to a service center. Good luck with that.
    Up until now we were mostly happy with the printer. Though I have to say photo printing isn’t as good as our old Canon printer.
