Poor scan and wireless interface
The printer works fine, but the wireless interface for printing , and the initiation of scanning, are both terrible. The wireless interface is glitchy at best. What should be simple sometimes takes multiple tries. I would not buy this product again.

Worthless support!!!
Printer won’t hold print settings. I can cripple through and get prints, have never gotten scans. Every time I need to print, I have to repair the settings.
Called support and after 10 minutes, I was told “you’re the lamest person I’ve ever talked to”. He then hung up on me.
15 minutes later a rep from “MICROSOFT” called back and told me, “for $190, we can fix your problem “. I told him that this sounded like a scam and he hung up on me, too.
Nice printer – worthless support

Brother Printer
So far the printer has been easy to use and prints excellent-quality text and color photos. My only criticism is that the paper tray is rather flimsy.

Waste of money
This PIXMA printer didn’t last 3 months. Only printed a couple of pages from rear feed before jamming. Troubleshooting steps proved useless. Print head foam track liner came loose and got stuck while printing on its own – huge piece of junk.. Canon won’t refund my purchase and making is very hard for me to utilize the warranty – they didn’t understand the printer won’t feed the paper through and the young untrained customer service person couldn’t understand that – she kept asking me if the printer printed the page???. By the time troubleshooting was finished (for the fourth time w/ the same non functioning result) and dealing with poor untrained canon customer support staff, it’s cheaper to just throw it in the dumpster. For $100 mor…

Garbage: Jam-O- Matic
I like the idea of the ink tank, but this blasted thing jams every time you try to use it.
It’s garbage, and I can’t return it. I wish I had bought a Brother brand.

Good printer but not the best for double sided printing
It would be better if the printer auto printed on the back of the paper without having to manually take the paper out and flip it.

Canon G4270
Excellent printer except the small screen is very difficult for someone with an eye disease to see. If you could operate it from the computer screen it would be an excellent printer.

Sorry I bought this.
I bought this several months ago. Had to return first one as it was defective. The scanning software is not at all user friendly. You need to go thru many step to setup and figure out where to save the scan. It’s a great printer but a disaster as a scanner.

Used to consider Canon a reputable company. No longer.
The release date of this printer was May 2023. I purchased it in January 2024. After setting up the printer, I wanted to purchase additional ink and printheads to have on hand. Printheads are out of stock. Checking the Canon site, there are comments from August 2023, customers looking for printheads. Now, January 2024, printheads are still out of stock, and as far as support, a popup tells me “PRODUCT IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED.” A printer with a support life of maybe a half a year? If you have a problem with a printhead, your money is wasted as there’s no recourse. I used to consider Canon a reputable company. No longer. Shame!

Avoid this one! Low quality jams, paper small display JUNK
Avoid this one at all cost! I love Canon. I’ve only purchased and supported Canon. This one jams this one has cheap plastic everywhere. The buttons are cheap. The display is way too small. It does not feel like it will last the internal parts are all cheap, thin plastic. The quality is horrible even at this price point Spend a little more and get a better printer or a four year warranty

Excellent printer
Setup was seamless using the Canon Print app including quickly connecting to my network. The first photo printed had excellent color and clarity quality. Printing is acceptably fast. Scanning using the app allows creating a pdf file (for example) which is a major plus. Very happy with this printer!

Buyer's Remorse; loud, difficult to connect and doesn't stay connected
Had an old HP 8600 for more than 10 years that was terrific until the autofeed for scanning wore out. Bought another HPe, but it was a nightmare, way over complicated so gave to school and bought this based on reviews. I thought the refillable tanks would be a good idea, but this printer is abolute garbage…DON’T BUY THIS PRINTER! No more plug and play; you have download their programs, drivers and non of the “easy connect” features work. This thing is LOUD and SLOW! From idle, it takes way too long to start printing and is extremely loud when doing so. I’ll probably send it back if I can find another brand/model that is worth the time and money.
