All it needed was a new print head, but Canon is very bad about providing parts, discontinuing them before you would ever need them. Someone else commented that this print head has already been discontinued. Worse yet, Canon print heads are notorious for clogging when you use non-canon ink. Try to find REAL CANON ink on Amazon. Buyer beware. The only canon printers I buy now are the ones I don’t mind throwing away.
