If you want to print without sending canon user information then you have to print over wifi. Using portable printer it must share a wireless network – which doesnt work in the field or while traveling unless you bring your own router with this or manage to add whatever firewalled network of where you are visiting. Years ago I did QA for an international hotel franchisor and our department provided us the Canon portable printers which were great for use on the road. So when it came time to replace my Epson at home that was a constant hassle, I searched for portable printers.
This Canon is a much newer version of the ones I used all those years ago on the road and it is just as easy to use and provides great print quality. Setup essentially consisted of inserting the ink cartridges, scanning a QR code and following the steps. I highly recommend this great printer. I’ve had no issues with connectivity, setup, or printing.
While the printer was more than I wanted to spend, the value for money is definitely there and I consider it well worth what I paid.
