Summary of Customer Reviews
The Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q3 27″ 1440p HDR 360 Hz QD OLED Gaming Monitor has received overwhelmingly positive reviews across multiple platforms, highlighting its stunning display quality, fast refresh rate, and advanced features. Most users praised the monitor for its vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth gaming performance. However, there were some criticisms about minor design quirks and issues with firmware updates. Overall, the monitor is highly regarded for both gaming and productivity tasks, especially for its OLED technology that enhances both visuals and responsiveness.
PROS
Vibrant Colors: Users consistently praise the color reproduction, noting that the QD-OLED panel provides rich, vibrant hues and deep blacks. One user described it as “pure eye candy,” while another mentioned, “Colors pop… Movie watching and gaming are top-tier!”
High Refresh Rate (360 Hz): The 360 Hz refresh rate is a standout feature for gamers. Many reviewers noted the smoothness of fast-paced gaming, with one user stating, “It made me a better player,” attributing this improvement to the monitor’s clarity and responsiveness during games like Rainbow Six Siege.
Stunning Display Quality: The 1440p resolution, combined with QD-OLED technology, provides excellent clarity and contrast. Users have highlighted the monitor’s “inky blacks” and “incredible colors and performance” for both SDR and HDR content.
Quick Response Time: With a 0.03ms response time, this monitor excels at delivering minimal latency. Users appreciate how fast and responsive the monitor feels, making it ideal for competitive gaming.
Design & Build Quality: The sleek, thin design of the monitor was a favorite for many. A user noted, “I love the thin display design,” while another said, “It feels sturdy and has a signature thin-screen for OLED monitors”.
CONS
Auto Dimming Issues: Several users reported an issue with the monitor’s auto-dimming feature, which they found annoying. One reviewer stated, “The auto-dim is annoying, and I have to hit the contrast button frequently to undim it”.
Stand Size: The large V-shaped stand is a point of contention for many. Some users found it overly large, especially for smaller desks. One user explained, “The stand is unnecessarily large,” and it could be an issue if you’re low on desk space.
Limited Adjustments: Some users felt the lack of height adjustment was a drawback, noting that the stand does not allow the monitor to be lowered to the desired level.
Firmware and Software Issues: Firmware issues and the lack of certain software features like a dedicated Windows driver were also noted. A user mentioned, “I wish Gigabyte released a Windows driver for this monitor. It’s not nice to see ‘Generic Monitor’ in device manager for an $800 monitor”.
Text Clarity: While text clarity is generally acceptable, some users noted minor color fringing when viewing text, which could be distracting for those using the monitor for productivity tasks.
Who Should Buy?
This monitor is ideal for competitive gamers who prioritize high refresh rates and fast response times, especially in first-person shooter games. It is also a fantastic choice for anyone who appreciates vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it suitable for both gaming and media consumption. Additionally, users who perform professional tasks that benefit from high color accuracy will find this monitor a strong contender. However, it is less suited for those seeking a 4K resolution or those with limited desk space due to its large stand. If you need an all-around monitor for both gaming and work, the Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q3 is an excellent option.
Do Users Recommend It?
Most users overwhelmingly recommend this monitor. They love its display quality, with one reviewer calling it “the best 27-inch OLED monitor” and another saying it “will remain an undisputed champion in the market of 1440p monitors.” The fast refresh rate and OLED panel were key selling points, especially for gamers. However, a few minor complaints about the stand, auto-dimming, and firmware do not detract significantly from the overall positive sentiment. As one user summarized, “The negatives are far outweighed by the positives. I can safely say you won’t regret this purchase”.

One of the BEST!

Uh, yeah. This thing is SICK
This is my first oled gaming monitor.
Before this, I had two 32″ 1440p 165hz monitors from Asus and LG. I play a lot of fps games and so I figured going down to 27″ wouldn’t be a terrible idea just for more situational awareness due to having a smaller screen and whatnot.
When I say that this has genuinely made me a better player, I’m not kidding. I improved over night on rainbow six siege due to the clarity of the image (presumably due to the glossy coating), and the insane speed of the 360hz. I should also mention that the dark stabilizer on this monitor is pretty nuts too. I leave mine on 3 and it really does help see better in the darker areas of the game.
Next to my 32″ Asus monitor, it’s a night and day difference. Colors are more vibrant, the glossy screen makes the image appear clearer, the blacks are BLACK (yes, if you have lights in your room, they’re a little purplish due to the way that the QD-OLED works, but it’s a non-issue for me. I use the monitor mostly at night), and overall- it’s just a really beautiful monitor that I’ve had no issues with whatsoever. a
Sorry my picture isn’t the best. I might return later when it’s night again and upload a comparison image

Its a great alt to MSI & Alienware
Pros: QD-OLED means its stunning with blacks
Colors are calibrated and bright, but not overdone
Feels sturdy & has that signature thin-screen for OLED monitors and TVs, so its sleek
Controls are simplified under the monitor to include a joystick-like clicker to maneuver menus.
When at full screen, it looks amazing. Black is BLACK, and colors pop easily
It does good against glare. I havent had any issues seeing details with light on
Cons: It doesnt start at full-screen, instead it begins at 1920×1080. There are two buttons on either side of the control-joystick under the middle of the screen that puts it into full-screen mode (2560×1440). It took us a while to figure this out.
The plastic thing that slides up and down the neck of where the screen sits feels like I could break it at any second while touching. Its very flimsy & I dont know exactly what its for, as this is my first monitor Ive owned outside of 90s fatbacks.
Controls under the screen are not labeled anywhere at the front, so you gotta use the instructions. I kinda was excited and instead fiddled with it till I figure it out, but its good to go once you know how to use it.
Base is WIDE. It has one of those obtuse V bases that could be a problem for smaller stands, or tables. Glad I got a bigger game table than I wanted, or else this would be a little cramped. But since I have the space, it isnt much of an issue, but I figured others would like to know that.
Overall Review: This is a fantastic monitor. Its my first game-specific one outside of my 90s Gateway 2000 fatback or a laptop. I am just starting my modern day computer gaming chapter, and coming from console, I really wanted an OLED similar to our living room TV. I was very excited to do my research and fell in love with the MSI model 27in QD-OLED, but could not find them in stock. Newegg informed me of THIS one, and I already was impressed with and had a Gigabyte MOBO, so checking its specs, I saw no reason not to go with it. It came, and after setting it up (and figuring out how to get full screen going for 2K res), its been a beautiful monitor. I am excited to start gaming, and the few things Ive already tried on it look stunning (Helldivers 2, BF1). If you want a 27in QD-OLED but cant find some of the others, or arent a fan of some, this is a great choice.

Vivid beautiful colors, pitch black, awesome smoothness and fast pixel response
One of the best QD-OLED 360hz 1440p monitors currently on the market. Has USB B port for firmware updates if needed and released (big plus) and HDMI 2.1 full bandwidth.
I wish Gigabyte released a Windows driver for it. It not nice to see “Generic Monitor” in device manager and some games/applications for an $800 dollar monitor. I also hope GBT will continue to refine and improve things in future FW updates. They already addressed an issue with Standby Pixel Cleanup through a FW update.

Great OLED, No Complaints
Pros: -Great OLED Picture quality
-High refresh rate
-Passive cooling, no noisy internal fan
-external powers supply
Cons: -stand is unnecessarily large
Overall Review: This monitor is everything I’ve honestly wanted in a PC gaming monitor. I wanted OLED for the vibrant, bright colors and fast response times and fast refresh rate and that’s exactly what you get. I like that it’s passively cooled, the less moving parts the better IMO as well as the power supply being external. I’ve had a PSU fail in a monitor before and it’s so much better if it’s external. It can quickly just be swapped out. It’s also great for media consumption, watching movies and YouTube videos is great. Text clarity isn’t really a problem to me but maybe I’m just not sensitive to that like others. The warranty gives me peace of mind but I think as long as you leave on all the OLED care settings on, use the pixel refresh at least once a day, and don’t leave the screen on with a static image for hours and hours on end burn-in isn’t a thing to really worry about. the one negative is the stand, it’s to flipping big! I can live with it but it is very big for no real reason so be aware of that if you are low on desk space. I highly recommend this monitor if you’re looking amongst all the great OLED options that are out there right now.

Incredible QD-OLED Tech Mired by Gigabyte' Firmware Problems
QD-OLED and OLED in general is the next big leap in panel tech just like how IPS monitors were the big jump from TN monitors. But there are too many quirks with these early-gen panels. I would rather save my sanity.

Incredible colors and performance.
Pros: Very bright in both sdr and hdr
High Hz, instant response time
Colors and Blacks are incredible.
Well calibrated in srgb mode.
Glossy finish
External power brick
Oled care options
Cons: No way to turn off DSC, hopefully a firmware update will fix this.
When the monitor arrived. The top portion of foam where the cords are located weren’t taped down so they were bouncing around in the box. But all was fine.
Overall Review: Went from a m28u 4k 144hz monitor to this 1440p qd oled 360hz monitor and its fantastic. The colors, blacks, ridiculous response time and hz make up for the resolution loss. Shipping was on time.
These colors and blacks are incredible.

Great but one minor issue
Pros: Great great great
Cons: Auto dim annoying af
Overall Review: Auto dim is pretty annoying hope this fix this cause its really annoying having to hit the contrast button on the monitor every time to undim it. Other than that this a beautiful monitor for some reason it looks bigger than 27 maybe since its slick and clean looking.
