Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional Picture Quality: The Mini-LED and QLED technology receives high praise for delivering vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive brightness that remains clear even in rooms with significant natural light.
  • Advanced Gaming Features: Reviewers highlight the native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and Game Mode Ultra as standout features that provide a smooth, responsive, and lag-free experience for PS5 and Xbox Series X users.
  • Outstanding Value for Money: The TV is frequently described as 'punching above its weight class,' offering premium display and gaming specifications at a much lower price point than major competitors.

Cons

  • Sluggish and Buggy Operating System: The Fire TV interface is widely criticized for being slow, laggy, and prone to crashing, with some users reporting that it becomes increasingly unresponsive over time.
  • Frequent Software and Display Glitches: Multiple users reported technical issues including screen flickering, green-tinted displays, and the system freezing, often requiring a full power cycle to resolve.
  • Inconsistent Audio and Remote Design: While some find the sound adequate, many complain about subpar internal speakers and a basic remote that lacks a backlight and number buttons, making it difficult to use in dark rooms.

Customer Fit

  • Primary audience: Home-theater enthusiasts who want an immersive, cinema-like picture without OLED pricing.
  • Secondary audience: Gamers and sports fans seeking high refresh rates, strong HDR brightness, and minimal motion blur.
  • Ideal scenarios: Ideal for living rooms, game setups, or bright family spaces needing wide-angle visibility and integrated streaming.

  3. Not much of an upgrade if coming from UHD

I let the price dictate the purchase when I seen Full, aray local dimming and the mini LED features along with Dolby vision and so forth I thought this has to be too good to be true. Well it was the local dimming is terrible but the main problem to me with this TV is that regardless of the content you are watching the picture is gray and washed out. I found this to be the case on all content some worse than others, but on all content, I took it back and got the U7G and couldn’t be happier. You can do much better for a few more hundred.

Great tv for the money! It was a huge upgrade from my old vizio. It’s a little hard to navigate at first, the remote doesn’t have number buttons but it has the best picture and the best audio I’ve seen or heard. Alexa built in is a nice feature! I’ll buy another.

Great price for the quality. Nice for streaming as well as live sports viewing. Good colors and nice dark shadows without “dark flickering” we experienced with our TV we replaced with this one.
I will purchase another Hisense MiniLED QL7 without issue.

  9. A Massive Upgrade That Doesn’t Break the Bank

A Massive Upgrade That Doesn’t Break the Bank
    Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous about going with Hisense over one of the “big three” brands, but after having the 75″ QD7 (2025 model) in my living room for a few weeks, those doubts are completely gone. If you’re looking for that “theater feel” without spending $2,000, this is it.

    Picture Quality: The “Mini-LED” Difference
The jump to Mini-LED for the 2025 version is huge. I previously had a standard QLED, and the difference in contrast is night and day. The blacks are surprisingly deep—not quite OLED level, but close enough that I don’t see that annoying gray “glow” during dark movie scenes. The peak brightness is where this thing really wins, though. My living room has two massive windows, and this screen cuts right through the glare. HDR content (especially on Disney+ or Netflix) literally pops off the screen.

    Gaming: A Beast for PS5/Series X
If you’re a gamer, this is probably the best value TV on the market right now. It has a 144Hz native refresh rate, which is rare at this price point. Playing Call of Duty and Spider-Man 2 on my PS5 feels buttery smooth with zero noticeable input lag. It has a dedicated “Game Bar” menu that pops up to show your frame rate and HDR status, which is a nice touch. Just make sure you use HDMI ports 3 or 4 to get the full 4K/120Hz+ performance!

    Setup and Mounting
Setup was pretty painless. Since it’s a Fire TV, I just logged into my Amazon account and it automatically pulled in all my streaming apps.

A heads up on mounting: This is a 75-inch beast, so don’t try to do this alone. It’s not incredibly heavy for its size (around 65–70 lbs), but it is awkward.

Vesa Pattern: It uses a standard mount pattern, but because the TV is so thin, I had to use the plastic spacers that came in the box so my mounting bolts wouldn’t bottom out.

The Stand: If you aren’t mounting it, the feet have two different positions (wide or narrow), which is a lifesaver if your TV stand isn’t 6 feet wide.

    The Verdict
Is it perfect? The Fire TV interface can be a little “busy” with ads sometimes, and the viewing angles aren’t amazing if you’re sitting way off to the side. But for the price I paid during the Black Friday window? I feel like I got away with a steal. It looks premium, plays games like a pro monitor, and fills the wall perfectly.Read More
