- Advanced Gaming Features: Reviewers highlight the native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and Game Mode Ultra as standout features that provide a smooth, responsive, and lag-free experience for PS5 and Xbox Series X users.
- Outstanding Value for Money: The TV is frequently described as 'punching above its weight class,' offering premium display and gaming specifications at a much lower price point than major competitors.
Cons
- Sluggish and Buggy Operating System: The Fire TV interface is widely criticized for being slow, laggy, and prone to crashing, with some users reporting that it becomes increasingly unresponsive over time.
- Frequent Software and Display Glitches: Multiple users reported technical issues including screen flickering, green-tinted displays, and the system freezing, often requiring a full power cycle to resolve.
- Inconsistent Audio and Remote Design: While some find the sound adequate, many complain about subpar internal speakers and a basic remote that lacks a backlight and number buttons, making it difficult to use in dark rooms.

Great TV for a living room
Steve Kohn January 25, 2026Review source: AmazonBought this at our local PX because our 11-year-old 50″ Vizio had twice in the past month powered down by itself. I have another Hisense upstairs for movie watching. This living room TV is for my wife, who loves YouTube videos. Neither of us play games. She doesn’t watch sports. So all we needed was a basic TV with a good reputation for reliability.
This TV more than fits the bill. Great picture, couldn’t ask for better, whether with the sun streaming through the windows or after the sun has gone down. Wide angle of view; no problem when I join her in a good video. Excellent audio.
Only negative is the remote. Not easy to open and insert batteries without a pen knife. Not hefty enough. No need for Alexa. No button labeled “Inputs.” The upstairs remote, also Hisense but using Google, has none of these problems.
Finally, the box we’ll bring the TV home in is excellent. Not rocket science, of course, but no evidence of penny pinching.
A tip that may prove useful: we’re instructed to lift the TV out of the box, while at the same time not pressing our fingers on the screen. My wife and I couldn’t do that. Instead, we turned the opened box upside down and raised it up and off the TV. With the TV on the floor, I could attach the two bars needed for the center stand. (Couldn’t use the two legs, the entertainment cabinet not wide enough.)
My wife is delighted with her new TV, and thinks I’m a pretty smart fellow.

Great Picture!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.StephanieL January 24, 2026Review source: BestbuyWe got the 75″ and love it! Great TV and awesome picture! Old movies and shows look new, if that’s possible. The only downside for me is the operating system. I’m used to Roku TV’s so the Amazon operating system takes some getting used to.

If you have a recast DVR, the TV cannot access the recordings
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Jim S. January 23, 2026Review source: AmazonIf you are a prime member, you will surely want a Fire TV. However, switching to the fire stick for Recast DVR is a bit cumbersome and the TV soes not have Recast controls because Amazon no longer sells them.. Neither Amazon nor Hisense were helpful. The AE gate was so high, i never got over it. Also, there was a glitch with the TV turning on and off my Polk sound bar. However, the Hisense speakers are quite good with controls to enhance speech. Great picture and price for a high-end TV for realism and gaming, I expect. It has a jack as well as Blue-Tooth for headphones. I switched to a Roku TV and now control everything with the Fire FV Stick remote.
