Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional Picture Quality: The Mini-LED and QLED technology receives high praise for delivering vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive brightness that remains clear even in rooms with significant natural light.
  • Advanced Gaming Features: Reviewers highlight the native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and Game Mode Ultra as standout features that provide a smooth, responsive, and lag-free experience for PS5 and Xbox Series X users.
  • Outstanding Value for Money: The TV is frequently described as 'punching above its weight class,' offering premium display and gaming specifications at a much lower price point than major competitors.

Cons

  • Sluggish and Buggy Operating System: The Fire TV interface is widely criticized for being slow, laggy, and prone to crashing, with some users reporting that it becomes increasingly unresponsive over time.
  • Frequent Software and Display Glitches: Multiple users reported technical issues including screen flickering, green-tinted displays, and the system freezing, often requiring a full power cycle to resolve.
  • Inconsistent Audio and Remote Design: While some find the sound adequate, many complain about subpar internal speakers and a basic remote that lacks a backlight and number buttons, making it difficult to use in dark rooms.

Customer Fit

  • Primary audience: Home-theater enthusiasts who want an immersive, cinema-like picture without OLED pricing.
  • Secondary audience: Gamers and sports fans seeking high refresh rates, strong HDR brightness, and minimal motion blur.
  • Ideal scenarios: Ideal for living rooms, game setups, or bright family spaces needing wide-angle visibility and integrated streaming.

Not compatible with Alexa home theater. You have to use a Fire TV cube to use home theater, kind of making it pointless to get this as a Fire TV. Can only be used if all lights in the room are off and it’s dark outside, otherwise any lights of any kind will cast a glare that’s more noticeable than anything else. There’s nowhere in the living room is can go to escape it.

I was initially happy with this Hisense TV because the picture quality is decent and the sound starts out perfectly fine. Unfortunately, after using it for a short time, the audio becomes distorted and muffled, almost like the speakers are blown out. Dialogue turns hard to understand and louder scenes sound crackly and unpleasant. Adjusting the audio settings, volume levels, and sound modes doesn’t fix the issue.

For a TV at this price point, I expect consistent sound performance, not something that degrades during normal use.

Great crisp picture, and the blacks really are incredibly deep as advertised, and easy to set up and use. My only complaint is unfortunately pretty common with many different brands of televisions, the volume control is not great in that if I have it on 17 it’s too soft but on 18 it jumps up to a much louder volume.

Super impressed with the picture quality of the TV. I use an Apple TV so I’m really not using the fire operating system much at all, so I can’t speak to that. The sound on just TV would be adequate for a smaller room most likely but it’s a 75” tv, which probably is too large for most smaller rooms. I paired it with a Hisense AX5140Q soundbar 5.1.4 surround sound which was really easy to connect and set up. I’m thrilled with the overall setup. I would recommend a sound system in a large room. Extremely happy with my purchase price compared to other competitors pricing.

  10. Good as OLED without the screen burn!
