Fort Knox Called—They Want Their Paper Tray Back, Prints Like a Dream, Screams Like a Nightmare
David Greer July 17, 2025Review source: AmazonI’ve been a loyal HP printer customer for over 20 years. Usually, they knock it out of the park. But this time? They tripped over third base and face-planted into the dugout.
Let’s start with the good: it prints. It scans. It does the basic printer things well. But then… the quirks begin.
1. The Paper Feeder Scan Scream
When you scan using the paper feeder, it emits a sound that can only be described as a cat being attacked by a honey badger. It’s not just loud—it’s existentially alarming. My dog hides. My plants wilt. I question my life choices.2. The Paper Tray of Doom
Running out of paper shouldn’t feel like prepping for a heist. But this printer’s paper tray is locked down tighter than Fort Knox. Every refill is a delicate dance of force and finesse—pull too soft, and it won’t budge; pull too hard, and you’re holding a door that’s no longer attached to a printer. -

Super SLOW and LOUD
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Courtney July 15, 2025Review source: AmazonDefinitely would not purchase another one of these. I work in a small office and was using the Hp 4301 dfw printers however the toner doesn’t last long and is really expensive. So, I ordered 2 of these and it was a huge down grade which I was expecting them to be somewhat slower then my other printer NOT only are these slower they are supper LOUD! They are also cheaply made. Setup was super easy.

Insanely Expensive Toner — Beware.
Mike Song July 12, 2025Review source: AmazonInsanely expensive toner…like $90 for just the black cartridge alone. Great printer if you are not concerned about that. We just print in black because it is so expensive.
