  1. Another good HP printer

HP makes a fine printer. The 9135e replaces a similar HP printer from 6 years ago. New unit seems to be as good. WiFi connectivity seems to be a chronic problem with HP printers. However, once it connected there have been no problems.

The printer was extremely easy to set up and connect to my computer and my phone. It is somewhat compact and is not as awkward as my old one. It is a great value. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Have been using HP instant ink for many years. You must use HP printers. The drawback is when HP discontinues a printer model, they take it offline, and you must buy a new model. Having said that, it is still cheaper than buying ink for a non instant ink printer, and the new ink comes in the mail.

  8. DON'T DO IT.

Don’t do it. It’s almost like the printer decides if it wants to print – and which pages. Sometimes it prints. Sometimes it won’t and I’ll have to reboot it. Sometimes it prints all the pages. Sometimes it misses a page in the middle. HP Smart Print – SLOWS EVERYTHING DOWN! And the scanner is the absolute worst EVER!!! It seems to think it’s jammed up all the time- so, you have to reboot it. The auto doc feeder grabs multiple sheets. And sometimes – even in the middle of a scan – it’ll stop and cannot find the device. Worst $$ decision I ever made.

  9. No way to immediately stop print job

    Fred K May 27, 2025
    Review source: Amazon

The print quality is excellent and colors well saturated. I have not had it long enough to know if this is a consequence of using up ink quickly. What I really hate about this scanner is that if you make a mistake and it starts printing out too many copies there is NO fast way to stop the print job. The nice looking control display on the printer/scanner does not show a stop or cancel command and I just went through working with tech support – their suggestion – open printers & scanners, highlight the HP printer, open the scan cue, right click the scan job then hit stop or pause. How many steps is that!!! The time it takes to do that means 10 pages spit out by the printer! So what I do is just pull out the paper tray – that stops it immediately, but is a very crude way to get the job done.

Set up was very easy. Seems to be pretty high quality, gives option for quieter slow printing as well.
