WASTE OF MONEY – DON'T BUY
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Manderson May 23, 2025Review source: AmazonWORST PRINTER EVER!!! Lots of problems with connecting wirelessly. Constant print problems. Messes up with every Windows update. Connected it by USB and that solved the problem for a couple of months. Windows update and now that won’t work either. Print and scan doctor non-existent as of today. Constant problems with this printer since the day I bought it. DON’T BUY IT! Can’t get any help from HP either. Waste of money! I will have to buy another brand.

ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Will-e-bite May 21, 2025Review source: AmazonI seldom leave reviews and, when I do, I try to focus on the positive aspects of a purchase / item. I’ve been a long time user of HP products (PC’s and Printers). I was due for a new all-in-one printer and based on past experience, my go to was an HP printer. I also tend to read bad reviews first when doing my pre-purchase research. And while this printer had some very concerning reviews, the number of 3+ star reviews were significant and served to far and away overshadow the 1 and 2 star reviews. So, I ordered and received this printer in mid March. In a word, it has been a nightmare! Given the issues, which are too numerous to detail here, the overarching issue was the HP Cat-Bot makes no provision to address any of the issues I experienced and the HP customer support telephone listed by Amazon has an outgoing auto message say “Your call cannot be answered now, call back later.” After 10+ calls to this number over the past three weeks I have given up on this printer and signed off on anything / everything HP branded. While I do not proport to be a tech know-it-all, I have enough electronic literacy in general and computer knowledge in particular to know the issues I experienced are not attributable to pilot error. To reiterate, the 3+ star reviews are many but I would submit there are some serious manufacturing issues with this particular HP printer. Buyer, please beware.

Maddening and full of bugs – Do not purchase
th87 May 17, 2025Review source: AmazonI have used HP all-in-one inkjet printer/scanners for ages. My previous one lasted 10 years and was a workhorse. But it failed one day, I had to replace it
immediately, and an HP agent convinced me to purchase this one. What a mistake.I am constantly having to do hard resets to get anything done if the printer has sat idle for a couple days. For example, I needed to scan a document yesterday and today. Each time, after pressing scan, the software says “scanner in use.” [This is a new bug.] So I have to do a hard power restart (unplug and replug) and wait 4 minutes for the danged thing to get ready again. Then the scanner works.
Then there was the time I wanted to print photos on Costco photo paper. The machine literally ignored the fact that there was photo paper in the tray. That problem took 30 minutes of time on the phone with the help desk to fix.
Did I mention the “HP Smart” software? When I launch it it literally takes 15 seconds to start up. Even Microsoft products don’t take that long! Doesn’t seem very smart to me.
I think that HP made this product overly complex. I think it is also an example where a company rushes a product to market with only 1/10th the vetting needed to ensure a good user experience.
Printer/scanners are not a new idea. The products should be getting better over time, not worse. I wish I had my old one, the one I purchased in 2010.
