Nevertheless, I expect 10 years of good service like the HP unit I replaced. Instant Ink is convenient.

Several issues with scanning and connectivity

Changed router on my network and I’ve not been able to get the scanning software working again. Has able to get the other HP smart software to do some scans. Had a jam, it displayed an error and despite the restart button in the display, I could restart from the screen or power button. I also had an error after one of the automatic updates, but was able to recover after powering it off and on.

Legal paper users will be disappointed and annoyed
Duncan Avenue February 18, 2025Review source: AmazonIf you need to print and/or copy legal documents to legal documents with the least attention to the machine, as I do, this may not be for you. You cannot easily tweak it to accomplish it. I have had cheaper HPs in the past which would accommodate this, but this requires too much “hands on” to do that easily. Other than that, it seems to be a pretty good machine for home and other small businesses which do not require frequent use of legal size documents.

Beyond Disappointing for an HP Product!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Elizabeth Sarty February 17, 2025Review source: AmazonI had high hopes as I’ve purchased 2 of the HP8630 and they have been excellent printers. This was supposed to be the replacement, nah I don’t believe so! I just seem to wear them out every 4-5 years printing small business. This 9135e isn’t giving me a great feeling of lasting long and the absolute worst printer I’ve ever owned! When I print several copies at a time, it tends to get light printing on sections of the page. Scans 5 documents and has to be shut down or unplugged to scan again… Now it’s only scanning 1 page and having to be shut off… What a Disappointment and waste of money. I’m past my return time so I guess I’ll have to see it through. Color printing isn’t great either. Not a bad looking printer and I like the size, it’s just loud and noisy, feels like it’s going to fall apart when you open the door or the top to the glass. Good luck if you purchase one… I’m beyond disappointed in this printer.

Defective!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Michael February 17, 2025Review source: AmazonDo NOT buy this printer! It has a manufacturers defect known to HP that they cannot repair with the print drives. I am going through a lot of trouble with them that you do not need to go through.
