Versatile, easy to use

Speed is good, but it’s a little noisier than our previous HP Officejet. We like that the duplex attachment is smaller than our previous one and enjoy the second paper tray.

Missing step in the instructions during the initial setup
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.ZoeG December 19, 2024Review source: AmazonInk installation: “lifting the ink access door by the indicated handle” would not bring the cartridge container out from the hiding place. I tried to restart the printer by turning the power on and off. The cartridge container would not move. I had to return and replace the printer, only to encounter the same problem with the replacement. After some investigation, I decided to forget about the setup instructions, and instead, followed the control panel instructions. I have OK-ed the “English” for the language, and OK-ed the “United States” for the location. When I hit OK, the printer came to life, the cartridge container moved from right to left, and back 3 times before stopping in the middle, and FINALLY, allowed me to insert the ink cartridges. The rest of the setup and adding the printer to the different devices was a piece of cake.

THE WORST PRINTER I HAVE EVER OWNED
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Jeremy Caldwell December 17, 2024Review source: AmazonI think this printer is half paper shredder because it destroys more paper than it prints on. It constantly does not print, is offline, or says it’s out of paper when both trays are full. If you want to be able to simply print a document without 30 minutes of restarting, frustration, and a lot of wasted paper; then this is not the printer for you.
The scanner has worked consistently without problems. I would give this thing half a star if I could. I fully regret buying this expensive hunk of plastic. DO NOT BUY. -

Replaced an HP 6978
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product. Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.grm43 December 14, 2024Review source: BestbuyReplaced an HP6978 printer. If scanning to computer, one needs to download an app from HP. Needed some help from HP tech support to get everything running properly. Is faster than the NP6978, copy quality good.
