Great customer service, but printing is only adequate

I was worried about being able to replace it since I’m a Vine reviewer and if the product doesn’t come or isn’t working, you can’t review it and still have to pay tax on it. And at $300, that would be a steep price to pay. But never fear! HP has great customer service. I registered my printer and then contacted them to get a replace met. They sent me a new one and then paid to get me to send the first one back. All good! I could finally review it.
What worked well was the set up. Scan the QR code, follow the prompts, add the ink, print a test and all your devices can easily connect. BUT…the print quality isn’t great. I had some flyers and there are streaks running through the images. Normally this means cleaning the heads or other components or doing another calibration, but none of that seemed to work. I’ll likely need to contact HP again to see if this is fixable. If you have basic printing, this is likely fine. But I need to print flyers and it’s not a great choice.

Worked for about a month

The only issue we had from the beginning was the inability to select a specific printer tray. Our idea was to print from card stock in one tray and regular paper in the other, but no mater what tray we selected, it would randomly print from either tray, which negated the purpose of two trays.
After about one month, the printers started having connection issues and every computer or device would report printing errors or would simply not print. the number one error was “out of paper” although both paper trays were full.
The printers are now completely useless for printing, and can now only be used for making copies. We are, of course, out of the return window.
I do want to add that we have has many HP printers in the past, and have mostly been more than satisfied with their performance. This is a disappointment and we will not be purchasing HP again. -
Died within two weeks

Wonky duplex options

We have five laptops that are connected to it. Two of them will only print double sided on the short edge and the other three won’t even offer an option for duplex printing. We are set up with HP Connect on all laptops, but we don’t have the option to make changes. Oddly, if I print the document from my phone, I have the ability to choose whether I want to print double sided, and if I want long side or short side options.
I reached out to HP on the issue and was basically told to print just the odd pages then reload them and only print the even pages. We spent a lot of money on this product to have to go through that! Step it back up, HP, or we shall seek better options.
