  1. Works great…so far

I had to quickly replace an HP8630, which I used for work from home, that suddenly broke. As far as I could tell, the 9135e had all of the same functions as the 8630. The machine is smaller, including the height of the paper trays, necessitating more frequent refills. However, the machine transitions between the two trays seamlessly. Unlike the 8630, which I never managed to figure out how to set the paper trays and had to pull out the tray I wasn’t using. Really like that. Print quality is good. The initial ink cartridges that came with the machine got used up pretty quick. I’m hoping they were just small starter cartridges and the printer doesn’t use up ink like that normally.

Goodness this thing is fast! I had a 8130e previously that had compatibility issues with Windows 11. This setup in less than 5min, connected easily to my brand new gaming desktop (Lenovo), has multiple paper sizes, 2 trays and the speed it prints in b/w is amazing – comparable to my other laserjet system for our other business. I highly recommend this HP system – we’ve owned HP’s for over 20yrs and never had any issues, they are true workhorses!

  3. Won't stay connected to WIFI

Won’t stay connected to WIFI. Tried Everything! I have updated all software, have updated hardware and it still won’t stay connected. Turns off and on by itself. If I try to turn it off, it sometimes takes 3-5 minutes to turn off and then reboots by itself and still won’t stay connected to WIFI.

I really like this printer. I was able to setup from my phone. Which is an added bonus. No software disks, no drivers to install, no updates to worry about initially. It is very quiet when printing. Unlike earlier models. I really like HP products as my first choice. The only downside is that they want you to sign up for a subscription for ink. It is free for the first three months. You have to choose a plan that will work best for you. It gives options based on the number of pages you estimate you will print each month. After the three months are up. Then they will automatically charge you according to the plan you chose. The printer will automatically send an alert to HP when ink is getting low. If I were using this for a small business that would be great. But this is only for home use. Basic printers that cost less just did not appeal to me. This was the best option for me. I highly recommend this printer. Whether for personal or small business needs.

The setup of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e was very smooth. I was up and running successfully printing within 5 minutes. The only issue I have is that it seems a little noisier than past HP printers but not too bothersome. So far I am happy with the printer.

  6. Difficult to use! Drops connectivity

This printer looks great, and we were excited to have two tray options for our medium-sized business office. However, from the first use it has had connectivity problems with our multiple computer office. It will work, then drop connection despite being hardwired into our network. Half the jobs will not show up in the queue, and then we must turn off the printer about three times a week to get it working again!

  7. Faster than my Laser Printer

I can’t believe it, but the HP Office Jet 9135e is much faster than my Brother MFC8340CDW But then, the Brother printer is over 10 years old. The only issue I have with this HP printer is difficulty setting up, especially the WI-FI. But once set up, wow, this is one fast printer!

Easy to setup. Works as advertised.
One star lost for design issues:
Paper trays should be in other order.
    Paper collection tray too short.
    No instructions for printing envelopes.
