Difficult to set up

It does everything well, but I am having difficulty getting it to recognize the printer in order to set up the ink support. The instructions are fine, they just didn’t get the job done. I have walked away for a while, and maybe next time everything will work

If you Like HP then you will like this printer
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Larry April 13, 2024Review source: AmazonPrinter quality is as good as our last HP. We had a model 8710 which we used for seven years. it prints plain paper, cardstock and photo paper very well. There is a learning curve associated with set up and use but once past that there is not a problem. If you use HP instant ink service, then it is much easier though it may not be your cheapest option. We used it on our previous model, so we were not surprised that this unit requires the instant ink service as far as I know. if you do not mind this quirk then there is no reason not to purchase this printer. This printer has two trays which was not true of our 8710 so that is a plus.

Pretty Good Printer
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Michael Perone April 11, 2024Review source: AmazonI am not allowed to connect a printer to my company network, so I must use it with the USB connection. Originally, it was slow and flaky. Now it works well. The key is having the printer turned on WELL before you send a print job. Fortunately, you can program the printer to turn itself on in the morning and off at night, so you don’t have to remember to turn it on when you need it.

Had an Officejet 8600 and this somewhat comaparable. everything seems to print well, and smoothly. My biggest scrape is two things. 1. I dont know why you need 2 paper trays..but there are two of them lol. 2. The “Scan to Computer” feature which allows you scan documents directly to the computer directly from the printer itself is there but useless. Cant seem to set it up to my new Macbook. Horribly disappointing as i use that feature often. All in all its a great printer for the price point !
