Perfect home office printer
D. Ash March 27, 2024Review source: AmazonMy old HP was breaking down and I needed a new one. I wanted one that was quiet, printed high quality and had multifunctional uses. This HP meets all of those requirements and then some. With two paper trays you can go quite some time before you have to reload. It supports two sided printing and the print quality is right up there with Laser output. It’s easy to connect to my PC and my phone, I am perfectly happy.

Decent Printer for a Good Price
LeLa March 25, 2024Review source: AmazonI picked this up because my last HP was getting older and I had some trouble with the system not recognizing my computer when I scanned documents, which was a hassle. This is a decent printer, probably more than I needed for my small business but I’m happy with it. I appreciate that it has two paper drawers so you can print different sizes without having to remove/replace the paper in the tray. It looks like it’s also set up to print envelopes and A4 paper as well, which is helpful if you need to print something like a PDF that was created outside the US.
The set up was a little annoying. The system gave me an error (not sure if this is because it timed out of the process while I was resetting my HP account). The message I got on the printer told me that I needed to shut it off and restart it, but then the power button wouldn’t actually work and I had to do a hard shutdown by unplugging the printer, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Not a big deal if it’s a one-off, but it will be a hassle if this is the only way to get it working every time there is a system update. Time will tell.
The print quality is good and I like that it can print double-sided and black only. A lot of printers in this price range will use the color cartridges even when printing B/W only and the cartridges are expensive, so that’s a waste.
Another thing I appreciate about this system is that I can set up the printer on multiple different devices, so I can use this on my tablet and probably also my phone. Nice to cut down on the steps involved when I’m working with those and just want to print directly. The set up link is a nice touch, so that you don’t have to go searching for it. Overall I’m pleased and expect this to work really well for my needs. -
As good as the last version I had
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.connies March 25, 2024Review source: AmazonI wanted one just like I the one I had so I wouldn’t have to learn anything new. Well that didn’t work out because like all new versions of anything it is just different enough to be difficult. But I still love it! The touch screen is also hard to get used to because there are so many options on it and you have to swipe the screen over to get to the rest. Leaving you confused as to where everything is. I finally broke down and printed the many pages of instructions…I miss them coming with manuals!

Great Bang for the Buck!
William F. March 25, 2024Review source: AmazonI’ve been a loyal user of the HP-8720 series printer for quite some time now, and while it served me well, the struggle of finding reasonably priced cartridges became increasingly frustrating. In my quest for a solution, I stumbled upon the HP-9135e and decided to give it a shot, curious to see how it stacks up against its predecessor. And let me tell you, I’m thoroughly impressed.
Right out of the box, the differences between my old printer and this new model were striking. Setting it up was a breeze, and it was evident that considerable thought had gone into its design. Initially configuring it for wireless connectivity was a seamless process, and from there on, the printing experience only got better.
One standout feature for me is the presence of two paper drawers, a rarity among inkjet printers. I can keep #10 envelopes in one drawer and regular paper sheets in the other, streamlining my printing tasks. While I personally don’t use the “instant ink ready” option due to past issues, it’s nice to have the choice available.
Navigating through the settings and options is intuitive, thanks to the clear and concise 4.3″ front display. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to print from my iPhone and iPads seamlessly, as if I were at my desktop.
In terms of performance, the HP 9135e doesn’t disappoint. With print speeds of up to 24 pages per minute in black and 20 pages per minute in color, it handles my printing needs with ease. The print, copy, scan, and fax functions all work flawlessly, contributing to a smooth workflow.
While the printer feels sturdy overall, I did notice a slight shimmy during printing. Ensuring it’s placed on a solid surface should alleviate any potential issues. I also appreciate the thoughtful design choice of a movable AC cord, which makes it much easier to unplug and move in case of a jam.
Overall, I’m thoroughly satisfied with the HP 9135e. It’s proven to be a joy to work with, offering a hassle-free printing experience and delivering on its promises. If you’re in the market for a new inkjet printer, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I anticipate a long and trouble-free partnership with this printer, and I’m confident you won’t be disappointed once you put it through its paces.

Easy Setup
Radman March 25, 2024Review source: AmazonPrinter comes packed well and easy to remove. The printer is heavy but well made. Set-up was a breeze.
Cartridge install was ok but it’s hard to feel or hear click when pushing them in.
Network connection was easy from my phone. The biggest decision is to go with Microsoft software or install the HP App. Very pleased with printer so far! Still need to use fax and copy. -
Fast but Loud
K. Rowe March 23, 2024Review source: AmazonI really love the speed of this printer – I had a smaller 3-in-1 from HP previously. It’s attractive (for a printer), the touch screen is easy to read and easy to use. Pretty well everything is self explanatory – especially if you have had an HP printer before.
My dislike? It’s LOUD. I have a home office and can hear this printer when printing in every room of my house. If it weren’t so fast, this would likely be a deal breaker. Luckily, by the time it really begins to annoy you or affect whether you can take calls, it’s finished.
