Smaller size is great for small families
Traveler October 28, 2025Review source: AmazonThis is the 2nd Instant Pot that we have. The smaller size is great for smaller families so that you avoid heaps of leftovers. Pressure cooking with it works well, and it seems like it’s even faster than our older and larger Instant Pot. It has an aluminum pot, like the older one. This stained easily in our older pot, but is easily cleaned with Soft Scrub. Considering how quickly you can cook good meals, I think the economics of this device pencil out quickly, when compared to ordering take out.

I own the larger Instant Pot at home and is used regularly, but this is great to make a quick meal while I am away from home. The capacity is smaller, but assuming you don’t need it, this works just as well as the original. Most of the features are still there from the larger version, so it’s not much of a learning curve.

I enjoy the ease of meal cooking as we make a lot of pot roast meals with veggies, it’s a huge time saver and guarantees soft, tender and juicey fall off the bone meat each use! I primarily use it for roast, rice and steaming veggies and so far everything cooks perfectly not over or undercooked at all and makes your cooking experience stress free. I like that you can use it for multiple types of meals and have the option to fast cook or slow cook. Cleaning is easy and it’s small for ease of storage on my bakers rack. It’s 4 QT size is just right for my family of 6 providing great portion sized meals and still have extra left overs.

Perfect Sized Cooker for Family of 3

It’s the perfect size for making all of my family of three’s weekly meals that require a multi cooker. We eat a lot of rice every week and this multicooker can cook up the perfect amount in one go with no fuss. The controls are self explanatory and all of the buttons do what I would expect them to do. One thing I didn’t know I’d appreciate as much as I do is the placement of the steam release. They put the button on the opposite end of the release valve so you no longer have to worry about burning yourself when you release the pressure. This was a constant issue with my last cooker so this is a neat little unexpected upgrade that I greatly appreciate. The shorter yet wider stainless steel bowl is another clever change from the usual design that I greatly appreciate. The shorter height makes this easier to store but the wider bowl gives you the same capacity. The stainless steel bowl and the lid have all survived being placed in the dishwasher as well so durability and cleanability are top notch. There is a lot of value packed into this multicooker and I can’t imagine cooking meals without it now.

Cute version of family favorite, great for college/couples
Cup October 24, 2025Review source: AmazonWe’ve had an Instant pot for many years, and it’s great to see them make something more attractive for couples or small families. The plain white is more attractive than the old black and chrome, and shorter shape is much easier to store. I love that they still use a solid stainless pot that is much easier to care for without the short life and health risks of non-stick. Our old Instant pot didn’t have a removable cord, so I don’t miss that in this new unit.The capacity isn’t really 4 Quarts, more like 2.5 Quarts when you fill it to the safe level. So don’t expect to make anything big like stock from a leftover turkey carcass, or other big tasks.
It’s also lacking the low pressure mode, but honestly I virtually never have used that feature.
It’s really to small for crazy stuff like a big chicken or cheesecake.
This is ideal for my daughter to cook steamed hardboiled eggs (using the 6-6-6 method, perfect, so easy to peel), beans (so fast), rice (just right!), and stew (we dial down the time so it still has texture). All our family’s favorite set and forget pressure cooked dishes! -
