Pros
- Ideal Compact Size: The 4-quart capacity is perfect for individuals, couples, or small families, fitting easily on countertops and in cabinets without sacrificing cooking power.
- Enhanced Safety and Stability: Users appreciate the redesigned steam release switch located away from the vent and the anti-spin pot design that keeps the liner stable while stirring.
- Versatile Performance: This appliance effectively replaces multiple kitchen tools by functioning as a fast pressure cooker, a reliable slow cooker, and an efficient rice maker.
Cons
- Lack of Documentation and Accessories: Many reviewers noted the absence of a physical instruction manual or recipe book, and expressed frustration that replacement liners and specific accessories are currently hard to find.
- Fixed Power Cord: Unlike some other models, the power cord is permanently attached, which several users found less convenient for storage and cleaning.

Doesn’t work as described
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Cheyenna Duggan October 18, 2025Review source: AmazonIt looks nice on the counter, but everything burns. Slow cooking isn’t great because it heats from the bottom up. When you release pressure it makes a mess and the entire house smells like whatever you were cooking. I’ll just go back to a Dutch oven. It’s great that it’s mostly dishwasher safe though.

They lie about volume
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Marco F October 17, 2025Review source: AmazonI saw across many of Instant Pot product reviews that they lie about the volume of the pot. Someone bought 8qt but their pot was 5Qt marked at 8qt they even used water to confirm.
I poured EXACTLY 3 liters of water which is roughly 3Qt but the pot is advertised as 4Qt. I have no idea why they do this it’s pretty unethical. I will report the product for incorrect description.
On top of that MAX FILL line is at 2.5 liters or so, that is like close to 2.5Qt. This pot can only make a single meal for two people at most
Also disappointing is how shallow it is, this means you have to be very careful with the meat you cook, the lid will be very filthy and hard to clean, the valves might get clogged and dirty and you’ll throw this out.

4 star. Nice size for 2 people.
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Edward C. October 17, 2025Review source: AmazonThis little pressure cooker works very well. I’ve been using pressure cookers for many years, and I really like this new 4 quart mini. I got it on sale and the price was decent. The one con is when you go to vent the steam have a rag ready, because it will spit out as there’s no cover over the vent. Our Insta pot whisper quiet model has a plastic cover that helps contain all the splashing and splattering.

Works great!!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Sheila Simpson Murray October 17, 2025Review source: AmazonSo I love it. I’ve used a 6 qt for many years. It’s just my husband and I, I am making smaller portions these days and this pot is a mighty little cooker. I think it cooks a bit faster than a 6 qt. So timing is pretty spot on in a recipe. I found I had to up the time a minute or two for my 6 qt.
The fact that the electrical cord is not removable is a non-issue for me. I never removed the cord in my 6qt. I love the pressure release valve on this one. My other was the old kind, not a slide button.
It’s a keeper.

Rights size for small family
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Z. H. October 17, 2025Review source: AmazonGreat size for small family, very stylish pressure pot, the color is adorable.
We have a larger pressure cooker and found it too big for daily use. This size is perfect for 2-3 people and it saves storage space. The operation is very easy.
Also I like electric pressure cookers because it is safer as it regulates the pressure and works on a timer.

A true Multicooker in a small size! And it’s pretty!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Butterfly Fairy October 16, 2025Review source: AmazonFinally, a mini instant pot that actually does everything it says it does and is super cute too. I have had instant pot since they were first introduced in all the sizes and before that other brands of electric pressure cooker including Cuisinart and Breville. Once I found instant pot, I never looked back. Loved it from the start.
It has always been an amazing pressure cooker and yogurt maker but the one area where it seems to be hit and miss has been the slow cook mode and sometimes sauté mode. Part of that stemmed from the unclear instructions and what the different settings for slow cook and sauté meant but a big part is that it just didn’t heat to the proper temperature.
This new instant pot not only pressure cooks it also slow cooks wonderfully, sauté is hot and it makes yogurt. It does everything it says it does! For the first time the instruction manual is super clear. There is no trying to figure out what everything means on your own. Temperatures are listed for the slow cook modes, and every feature is clearly explained.
For those who have a mini already have you ever felt like it was a little too small but the 6qt was way too big. This new mini is just right! I can make just enough soup to last, and because of the wider bowl I’ll be able to fit a small corned beef in it without cutting it in half! Its foot print is a little wider and a little shorter the other mini but still small enough.
The color is beautiful! I have Rose. So soft and muted but still pink! Goes well with browns and oak cabinetry too.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this mini, it’s a keeper.

Yes and no
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Sara C October 15, 2025Review source: AmazonI have 10 instant pots ranging from 3qts-10qts most are used daily. Work great, sturdy.. this one makes #11. It works great but when I’m using with a glass lid and keep my instant lid on the holder on the side its seems unbalanced and like it wants to fall to the side. Cooks well, i like that its like a short 6qt. More wide then the 3qt but not as tall as the 6. Base doesn’t seem as heavy/weighted as the original instant pots. Even without the lid on the holders on the side when I pull the inner pot out it seems like it gets stuck. I have looked inside but nothing is there to get caught on.
