I literally use them almost every single day for years. When I received this one I had no idea how happy I would be with the new features. I am obsessed with the larger base that gives you more space to saute your food. I really love the wide features. I have a 8 qt and a 10 quart and a lot of times I don’t need that kind of space. Sometimes it can actually negatively affect your recipes if you use two large of a pressure cooker. This one is the perfect size for meals that include either a side or just the meat. It’s also the perfect size for meals that are for just myself and my husband. I have noticed that the wide base also seems to make it come up to pressure more quickly than the regular style. It also doesn’t seems to stick as much as the old kind sometimes does. It’s super easy to use and very easy to keep clean. I love all the features on it and it is definitely my favorite tool to make rice or boiled eggs in. For some reason everything just tastes better in here. And the new pink color is gorgeous! I’m normally not a pink person but the pale pink is stunning. I’m definitely going to order another one of these for my mom for Christmas. She’s going to love it.

I was concerned it was going to be too small but it’s not and it sits nicely (not too bulky) on my counter.
I really like the color. It’s not overly pink, it’s just the right amount. Super subtle. Gives a nice pop in my really white kitchen.
The functionality is truly so simple. We use it for beans at least twice a week. Since this one is is wider I’ve also been using the sautee function more.
Overall really great, solid value.

Perfect for rice and more – healthier than rice cooker!
My3Halls October 13, 2025Review source: AmazonI have been an Instant Pot user for years (when they first came out). I own 8, 6, 3 qt models. I use each for different items.
I was searching for a rice cooker and found this on prime day. I sent the rice cooker I ordered back and bought this.
This are my thoughts:
1) Stainless Steel bowl (and inside lid). Non-toxic and no flaking or chemicals getting in your food. I LOVE the wide squatter bowl over my 3qt model which will be given away now. My short grain organic brown rice cooked perfectly, didn’t stick, and was so fluffy. Most rice cookers have coatings that will eventually flake off or scratch. That’s not good for your health!
2) The 3 qt always gave me pause on halving 6 qt recipes but I feel way more comfortable halving them in the 4 qt (1 extra qt gives space!).
3) It’s stinking adorable and will stay on my countertop (the others are in a pantry).
4) This model has a slow cooker function which I haven’t tried yet but the wider body inner pot seems more functional and it has a low and high mode to choose from.
5) I always pressure cook on high so, although it doesn’t have other pressure cooker settings) that’s ok with me.
6) The cord is attached instead of separate. I wish it was separate for storage and my 3qt cord seems more stout but this is not a deal breaker and I’ll deal with it.
7) The color is beautiful. No more boring black/steel. I’ll probably keep it cleaner than the others LOL.
I believe it’s a worthy addition and am looking forward to putting it through it’s paces! -

Prime member October 13, 2025Review source: AmazonIf you’re already a “Instant pot” fan/user in my opinion this will not be an upgrade for you. I currently own other + 8QT IP in various features WiFi model included. This model is really no different, in fact it’s easier and more simpler to use.
So who is this model made for:
– Small families 2-4 people
– Love making stews or pot roast in crock pots but hate all nighters. IP time = ~60-90min tops
– Prefer less bells and whistles, ie plug in push button COOK.
– Likes to display nice looking counter-top appliances, this one is much more appealing than conventional “Black” instant pots.Only gripe which is minor is power cord is not detachable. Everything else; sized for smaller cooking portions, appealing good looks, simpler easy to use features all make this model well worth purchasing even if you already own a larger IP units.

Having used an instant pot before, I feel this one is super intuitive, and I didn’t need the instruction manual – it was straightforward and easy to use. I love the smaller size of this for when I don’t want to drag out my older, large one to make something small – and the smaller size is also really nice for storage. It seems to be the same Instant Pot quality and durability that I have come to know. The pressure cooker function is always nice when I’m running short on time but still need to cook dinner. I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever and am really happy with it.
