There are a few convenience features I miss from my 6qt, to include temp choice and a removable cord for storage purpose. No recipe book unfortunately, so I simply half my normal meal ingredients. Otherwise I haven’t had a problem with this smaller version IP. I made spaghetti as the meal test and found it easier to work with given the shorter height of unit. The steam release tab is a thoughtful feature as I have burned myself previously using the original version. This unit works quietly when on; I even had to go closer to hear if my food was cooking! It is aesthetically pleasing and the optional color choice is a plus. I am content with my purchase thus far and looking forward to preparing my next meal.

So far everything I have cooked has tasted great. I have cooked both jasmine and basmati rice separately and with chicken. It works easily and well, cleans up quickly and as usual with an IP, is fast. The glass IP lid for my 6qt works with this which is a plus. The updated quick release switch was what made me want to get this one. I am not sure if it matters to me overall about the power cord change but I did previously enjoy being able to store it in the pot. I was not a heavy user of the IP before but everything I used a lot is here with this model and the size fits my needs better so have already used it quite a bit. I love the white as well.
