Beautiful, Easy to Use, and Perfect Size

Often I wished it was a 4 quart size, but 4 quart pressure cookers are rare. How happy I was to see that Instant Pot came out with a 4 quart model. This model does a wonderful job. I fixed a pork roast with vegetables in it that came out perfectly. It works just as well as it’s larger brothers. I know this because I also own an Instant Pot 8 quart. This Rio model is simple to use, its saute function works very well, it builds pressure quickly. The manual that comes with the unit is concise and easy to read. I couldn’t be happier with my new Rio IP. I would buy it again in a minute. If you have had no experience with pressure cookers, here are some tips: 1. Be certain the silicone ring is seated in the lid correctly. 2. Always use clear watery liquids like water, broth, vegetable juices from canned veges or canned mushrooms. Thick liquids like gravy or tomato sauce will cause a burn notice, and cause your food to burn in the bottom of the pot. For example, when I fix spaghetti in my IP, I add 1-1/2 to 2 cups of water or broth to the bottom of the pot, put in the rest of the ingredients, then pour the entire jar of spaghetti sauce on top. 3. If after you wash your pot and you see what looks like pitting, rest assured it is not pitting but hard water spots. I live in an area that has hard water and I encounter this quite frequently. Just pour in a little white vinegar, let it sit on the spots 30 seconds to one minute, take a cloth or your finger and rub these spots, and they will very easily come come off. Your pot will look new again. This also works with egg cookers. 4. Be certain your lid is seated correctly on the pot. I have no trouble recommending the 4 quart Rio Instant Pot.

Speed: cooking rice is so fast now, I use to wait 30-40 mins for rice to cook in regular rice cooker, now only takes 5 -10mins.. that’s crazy, and taste as good as a rice cooker. The size is perfect for a two people home for us, it should be good for a family of 3-4.
What I don’t like: it get burn easily, rice gets stuck under and hard to wash, maybe I’m not use to the water proportion and timing, but that’s the only thing I dislike
