Small but Mighty – A Life-Saver in My Kitchen!
Decubanway_Mom September 8, 2025Review source: AmazonI’m so glad I got this Instant Pot Mini — it’s truly an amazing addition to my kitchen! Even though it’s the mini version, it still cooks enough food for my family of six, and that really surprised me. It’s compact, powerful, and incredibly quiet when cooking. We’re Cuban, and I make beans almost every day, so this pot has already become one of my favorite kitchen tools. It saves me so much time and effort — honestly, it feels like it came into our home to save my life! If you’re on the fence about the 4-quart size, don’t worry — it delivers big results in a small package. Highly recommend it!

Great Instant Pot – Awful Color
Customer Bob September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonI love having an Instant Pot in the kitchen, with all its versatility. I’ve used it for rice (amazing–moist and quick!), and as a slow cooker. Haven’t tried the pressure cooking setting yet, because frankly it freaks my wife out and I think I’ll need to do it when she’s not at home so the hissing steam doesn’t make her think the whole thing is about to explode. (It won’t–don’t worry.) The little steaming tray that sits inside the cooker is a bit chintzy but still perfectly functional if you have big chunks of vegetables to steam. The alarm and control panel sounds scared our dog a little bit but she’ll get used to them.
It’s solidly put together, easy to disassemble and clean, and just seems like an all-round winner. Price is good value, too. The only glaring downside to this otherwise excellent appliance is the color! Who is heaven’s name thought this used-bubble-gum drab pinky-beige color was going to fit in ANYONE’S kitchen décor?? We have to keep the Instant Pot in the basement and bring it upstairs whenever we want to use it because it doesn’t just clash with a white kitchen–it’s an eyesore. Shame.

Yes, you need another instant pot
dnL September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonI had had an instant pot since they first hit the market. I use mine at least once a week since I use it as a slow cooker and pressure cooker. I’ve usually had the 6 qt, but I was excited to have something a little smaller to make it a little easier to use. The controls are slightly different than the previous generations, but it isn’t complicated. There is a latch steam release, which is nice I don’t have to have a pot holder handy. I’m excited about instant pot coming out with some new colors, although I am a bit disappointed the little extras (measuring cup, rice paddle, and paddle) are no longer included. There are less preset features, but honestly, I never used them.

Perfect size for cooking for two.
LR September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonFinally, the perfect size for two people! This is a very welcome addition to my kitchen because I use a pressure cooker almost daily. Between making homemade dog food and meal prepping, these get a lot of use in my home. What I really like about this 4-quart size is that I can cook enough for two people without having to commit to leftovers, because sometimes we don’t want to eat the same meal a couple of days in a row. This pressure cooker worked fantastic on a two-pound pork shoulder. It cooked evenly throughout and just fell apart, while retaining its moisture and my desired texture. I have another Rio, and this one is not as quiet as my 6-quart, but it works just as well. So far, I have made chicken, the pork roast, and a batch of dog food in this, and it operates smoothly and efficiently. No burning or error messages. Super important about this model, it takes 3 cups of liquid, which is a lot compared to the larger models. I am guessing it has something to do with the shape, because it looks just like a 6-quart only shorter. That is actually a good thing because you have more surface area and can use a bigger rack in it. Overall, this is a great pressure cooker. The quality is definitely high, and what you would expect from this brand, and as a plus it looks very nice for a pressure cooker. If you are like me where the 3-quart is too small for somethings, and the 6-quart is too big, this 4-quart is just right.

Small in Size, Big on Soul My Kitchen’s New Ritual Companion
Lindz September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonI didn’t expect to fall in love with a kitchen appliance, but this little powerhouse has earned a permanent place on my counter and in my daily rhythm.
As someone who juggles work, parenting, and a deep desire to infuse everyday life with intention, this 4-quart multi-function cooker has become more than just a tool. It’s a quiet ally in my pursuit of nourishment, simplicity, and time reclaimed.
The seven cooking functions feel like a symphony of possibility. I’ve pressure-cooked bone broth in under an hour, slow-cooked herbal stews that fill the house with warmth, and even made yogurt infused with lavender and honey. Each function works intuitively, and the progress indicator gives me peace of mind no guessing, no hovering.
Its compact size is a dream. It fits neatly beside my mortar and pestle, and yet it holds enough to feed my small family with leftovers to spare. The anti-spin design is subtle but brilliant stirring herbal rice or sautéing mushrooms feels effortless, grounded, and mess-free.
And can we talk about the Rosewater finish? It’s not just pretty it’s poetic. It brings a soft blush of beauty to my kitchen, reminding me that even utilitarian objects can carry aesthetic joy.
Cleanup is refreshingly simple. The dishwasher-safe lid and pot mean I spend less time scrubbing and more time savoring. And with over 10 safety features, I feel confident letting it run while I step away to tend to my daughter or light a candle for evening ritual.
This isn’t just a cooker it’s a gentle invitation to slow down, nourish well, and make even weekday dinners feel like sacred pause. If you’re looking for something that blends performance with soul, this is it.

Made braised meat in only 12 minutes after 15 minute preheating.
DonutsReview September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonMy family already uses a much bigger Instant Pot Pro 8 QT (UPC 810028582217). That thing has 20% faster preheat and it seems to be world changer for us. It only takes 10 minutes to preheat.
This 4 QT small one does not have that 20% faster reheat function so it takes like 15 to 20 minutes to heat up before it starts cooking. So that was a little disappointing though because it’s so small perhaps this difference is small enough to overlook.
I made a pot of braised pork bellies and another pot of mushrooms and green beans. Each bot only needed 12 minutes even though one was full of raw meat. It’s very versatile. It looks very sleek too for being so short.

Really Nice 4 Quart 7in1 Cooker
FEW September 6, 2025Review source: AmazonMy wife was cruising Amazon and saw this Instant Pot, checked the stats out, wanted it and I ordered it. She is very pleased with it.
This pot has 7 functions for cooking. It will slow cook, steam, sauté, make yogurt, pressure cook, keep food warm and yes, it even cooks rice. It has a capacity of 4 quarts making it big enough for small families and singles or students in college dorms. it cooks food much quicker than regular methods and cleaning up is a easy since the lid and the stainless steel pot are dishwasher safe.
The price of this cooker is $90 which is seems to be the range for 7 in 1 4 quart cookers.
We do recommend this Instant Pot 4QT RIO Mini 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker from the Instant Pot Store if you are looking for a good all around 4 quart cooker that is conveniently sized for small families.

Nice Instant Pot With a Couple of Drawbacks
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.ClashBearer September 6, 2025Review source: AmazonPROS:
1) Aesthetically pleasing appearance in my upgraded light kitchen, much prettier than my other black and stainless Instant Pots. Even the panel is mostly white. Color is a soft white or very light off white, not stark white which I was hoping for.
2) Much quieter than my other 3 and 6 quart Instant Pots. No loud obnoxious beeps.
3) The release button is on the front of the lid rather than next to the pressure release spout making it much much safer to use.
4) The glass lid from my 6 quart Instant Pot unit fits this container so they are interchangeable. A huge plus since the unit doesn’t come with a cover for refrigeration.
5) I love the wider shorter bowl which makes it easier to cook and serve.
6) I like that it has both high and low temperature settings for Slow Cook unlike my 3 quart Instant Pot.CONS:
1) Cord is cheap and flimsy, nothing like the more substantial 3 pronged cord on my other Instant Pot units. This was a huge downgrade. And it’s black, an eyesore on this otherwise very pretty unit. Should have used a better quality white cord. I’m purchasing a sleeve for it.
2) Electric Cord is not detachable like with my other Instant Pot units so you can’t replace it in case you want something longer or shorter or better quality or just want to remove it for storage.
3) You can’t purchase additional replacement containers in this size and shape which I was able to do with my other Instant Pot units. Hopefully they’ll eventually manufacture them. But in the meantime the one container is all I have.
4) The Pressure Cook feature has only one Temperature setting unlike my other Instant Pot units. I consider this a rather significant downgrade. After using it several times and judging by how long it takes to depressurize and how long it takes to cook the temp seems to be on the higher side so the low temp setting was obviously removed.Overall I like the RIO except for the cord and that I can’t buy extra containers. So far it’s working well. I’ve already made soup, pasta, and rice which came out perfect.

Cooks so fast and cleans easy! Game changer
Wiseman September 6, 2025Review source: AmazonStylish, Compact, and Just as Powerful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I already own the 6-quart Instant Pot in black, but I’m in love with this smaller 4-quart model, especially the chic color that matches my Instant Pot air fryer perfectly. It looks classy on the counter and feels just as solid and high quality as the larger version.
The smaller size is perfect for side dishes, smaller meals, or cooking just the meat portion of a recipe. It’s compact enough to store easily but still has all the power and versatility you’d expect from Instant Pot.
Like all Instant Pots, it cooks incredibly fast and consistently. If you’ve never used a pressure cooker, this is a great place to start, it’s easy, safe, and a game-changer for busy weeknights.
