The Instant Pot 4QT RIO Mini 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker is made from quality materials. I appreciate that it has a status light, so you know if the cooker is preheating, cooking, or keeping warm. I like that the steam release button is away from the actual steam. It has seven Cooking Functions: Pressure cook, slow cook, sauté, steam, cook rice, make yogurt, or keep warm.
The compact size makes storing the Instant Pot easier than the larger models. The 4QT is great for individuals and couples. I included a photo of the 4QT next to my 6QT so you can get an idea of the size difference.
It is simple to use and clean. I love that the pot and lid are dishwasher safe.
It comes with a user manual and trivet.

It’s the perfect size, and I love how compact it is! way easier to store in a small kitchen (hello, apartment life). Even though it’s smaller, the sauté area is the same size as the big one, which I wasn’t expecting. So it’s just as easy to brown meat or cook veggies without them getting crowded. It’s super convenient for making quick meals after work or school without having to stand over the stove.
Also, it still has the yogurt function!! I was excited to see that included. And I have to say, the color options are adorable. I already love the sea salt, but now I’m eyeing the Rosewater version too because it’s SO cute.
If you already have a bigger Instant Pot and don’t always need that much food, or if you’re just cooking for yourself, this is such a good add-on. 10/10 would recommend.

PS August 28, 2025Review source: AmazonWhat a perfect size! I especially like the wide bottomed stainless steel inner pot…so much room to sauté your meat for best flavor. As a shorter person, I appreciate the shorter, wider profile of this Instant Pot. This makes it much easier for me to see inside the pot. The new lid design automatically changes to “sealing” when it locks on, so you will never have to worry if you remembered to do that step. And most importantly, the steam release button is now on the opposite side of the lid, making this Instant Pot one of the safest ever produced!
