Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Ideal Compact Size: The 4-quart capacity is perfect for individuals, couples, or small families, fitting easily on countertops and in cabinets without sacrificing cooking power.
  • Enhanced Safety and Stability: Users appreciate the redesigned steam release switch located away from the vent and the anti-spin pot design that keeps the liner stable while stirring.
  • Versatile Performance: This appliance effectively replaces multiple kitchen tools by functioning as a fast pressure cooker, a reliable slow cooker, and an efficient rice maker.

Cons

  • Lack of Documentation and Accessories: Many reviewers noted the absence of a physical instruction manual or recipe book, and expressed frustration that replacement liners and specific accessories are currently hard to find.
  • Fixed Power Cord: Unlike some other models, the power cord is permanently attached, which several users found less convenient for storage and cleaning.
  • Pot Maintenance Issues: Some customers reported that the stainless steel inner pot stains easily, develops hard water spots, or experiences food sticking, particularly when cooking rice or oatmeal.

It’s wonderful when you find a item that actually makes life easier. Harder to clean then using just a pan, but worth it. You don’t have to stir it, it’s way faster, you don’t need a stove. It’s like the microwave…. when it came along, you couldn’t imagine life without it. I’ve sent a lot of things back to Amazon, this won’t be one of them. Oh it’s a lot smaller than my insta pot

I needed another instant pot like I need a hole in my head but I couldn’t resist. I like the wider pot. The price was right and it is also somewhat “no frills”. I never use the special settings on my other instant pots anyway. It is nice having the release button away from the vent. The cons (but no deal breakers) were that the cord is attached which is not as convenient for storage. There was no instruction manual – I had to go searching on the internet to find one. I figured it worked like my other instant pots but my OCD wanted a manual.

pretty pink pot, with fewer features & less capacity than full size instant pot, but smaller may appeal to some

matte finish does not get as hot as metal finish

lighter weight is easier to manage

but four quarts may be too small for many cooks

  9. Good product

I was hesitant to hop on the Instant Pot trend, especially since I was so used to using my slow cooker, but the idea of being able to cook rice in half the time or a few pieces of chicken from frozen in 10 min did pique my interest. Given that they’ve been a regular appliance in most kitchens for over a decade now, it’s also easier to find recipes and tips/tricks online without having to learn the hard way yourself.

I’ve only used it to cook chicken that I’m using for salads, but so far it’s been great. I look forward to making more in it once I have time. The chicken takes closer to 25 min from pre-heat to pressure release, and the first time I used it I think I over-cooked the chicken a bit. I just lowered the cook time and the rest came out great. I think there’s also a way to adjust the temp between low/med/high, I just always forget to do that before hitting start. I’ll likely use that more when sauteing.

Overall, I think this is a neat little kitchen tool that has it’s uses, though I don’t see it replacing my slow cooker any time soon. There’s plenty of functions that I look forward to trying out.
