🗣️ Customers Say

Most users are highly satisfied with the JURA E6, frequently praising its ease of use, the high quality of the coffee it produces, and its sleek design. However, many users complain about the underwhelming milk frother and inconsistent customer service and the machine's temperature not being hot enough for their preference.

Customer Reviews Summary

The JURA E6 Platinum Espresso Machine is a significant investment, and for the majority of buyers, it seems to be one that pays off. Users consistently rave about the quality of the coffee, often comparing it to or even stating it’s better than what they would get at a high-end coffee shop. The machine’s ability to produce a rich, flavorful espresso with a beautiful crema is a standout feature. Many have commented on the simplicity of the machine, noting that from setup to daily use, the JURA E6 is straightforward and intuitive. The automated cleaning cycles are also a frequently mentioned convenience, making maintenance less of a chore. One user happily stated, “I was a little hesitant to splurge on a Jura machine but I definitely don’t have any buyers remorse. Bye bye Starbucks!”

However, the experience isn’t perfect for everyone. The most common point of contention is the milk frother. Several users have expressed disappointment, describing the result as more like warm milk than the thick, rich foam they expected for cappuccinos and lattes. This has led some to purchase separate milk frothers, feeling that a machine at this price point should excel in all its functions. Another point of frustration for some users is the customer service, with reports of slow or ineffective support when problems arise. While less common, a few users also mentioned that the coffee temperature, even at its highest setting, was not as hot as they would have liked.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How good is the milk frother on the JURA E6?
User feedback indicates the milk frother is the JURA E6’s weakest feature. It consistently produces thin, hot milk instead of rich foam. If you love cappuccinos or lattes, many users recommend factoring in the cost of a separate, dedicated milk frother.
  • Is the JURA E6 easy to clean?
Yes, users consistently praise the JURA E6 for its ease of cleaning. The machine has automated cleaning cycles and prompts you when it’s time to perform maintenance, such as cleaning the milk system or descaling.
  • Can I use oily coffee beans in this machine?
While some older models of Jura machines were not recommended for use with oily beans, a Jura representative has reportedly stated that the new generation, including the E6, can handle them without issue.
  • How customizable are the drink options?
The JURA E6 offers a good degree of customization. You can adjust the strength of the coffee, the volume of the drink, and the temperature. The machine also learns your most frequently made drinks and displays them on the home screen for quick access.

Should You Buy It?

This is the perfect machine for the coffee aficionado who prioritizes the quality of their espresso and black coffee drinks and is willing to invest in a high-end, automated experience. If you value convenience, ease of use, and a consistently excellent cup of coffee, the JURA E6 is a fantastic choice.

However, if you primarily drink milk-based beverages like cappuccinos and lattes, this machine will likely disappoint. You should either look for a model praised for its milk foam or be prepared to buy a separate frother to get the results you want. Additionally, if you are on a tighter budget, there are other machines on the market that may offer a better value proposition for your needs.

Absolutely Fantastic!

My wife and I decided to get off the Nespresso capsules for various reasons including cost, limited options, and environmental concerns. I’ve owned Breville and Cuisinart Espresso machines in the past and they were great, but messy (and noisy at 5am)…and I could never really get the tamping, pressure, etc. right.

I started researching superautomatic machines a few weeks ago, watched tons of YouTube and scoured Reddit, then settled on a Philips 4300 LatteGo. From the first shot it was sour and thin. I tried 8 different kinds of beans, different grind levels, higher temp, longer pulls…the flavor never improved. It was always sour. It was so bad that my wife pulled the old Nespresso back out and started using it again (hint taken).

I went to a local shop that has lots of machines on display that you can try out and fell instantly in love with the Jura E6 after the first sip.

Things I love:
1. The crema. It’s velvety and long lasting, clinging to the side of the glass to the bottom.
2. The Caffe Barista option, which is something between a double lungo and Americano.
3. The large bean hopper and water tank.
4. The relatively quiet operation…much quieter than any of my previous machines.
5. The simplicity. It has lots of options, but not a bunch of menus and buttons to mess about with.
6. I can use ANY beans I want. That’s right…straight from the Jura rep who was at the store: oily beans are fine. She told me that older models were limited to non-oily beans, but not the new generation (including the E6).

Things I don’t love as much:
1. The water reservoir isn’t easily accessible from the front. It’s a lift up and out situation. One of the things I liked about the Philips was the front loading water tank.
2. No removable brew unit for cleaning. The Jura rep assured me it isn’t necessary, just use the cleaning tablets when the machine asks for them, but I’ve read a lot of Jura reviews complaining about having to send their units back for service/cleaning. Time will tell.
3. Having to use the menu prompts to get hot water. This is a big miss in UX since there is literally a knob to turn for the hot water on/off, but you still have to scroll the menu and select “hot water” before it will work. Kinda dumb IMO.

UPDATE/EDIT: I deleted my comments about not being able to adjust temperature. I discovered that a long press of the button pulls up an options menu for that drink which includes temp (low/med/high). I also deleted my comments about the documentation being limited as that info is in there. I just missed it.

As I mentioned, I stayed away from Jura because I’ve seen so many reviews about having to send the unit back for repair/cleaning and that customer service was lacking by phone; however, my interaction with the Jura rep at my local shop was great. And she assured me that I can find here there every month if I ever have a problem.

I’ll update this review after a few weeks to see if my love affair is still going strong.

Customer Service is the Worst

Purchased item as a Christmas present. On Christmas morning we open the package ready to have some fresh brewed espresso followed the instructions verbatim and when I turned the machine on for the first time could immediately hear a loud, grinding noise. I checked the grinder and nothing was moving however, the motor would just run in a loud grinding noise was made. Couldn’t contact Customer Service for two days because they were closed for the holidays. However, when they opened I called no less than six times on hold for 15 minutes hoping that maybe there was something I could fix at the house so I didn’t have to go through the return process. I left a message each time I called because you can only wait on hold for 15 minutes before your automatically defaulted to voicemail. I subsequently return the item and now have been waiting since Christmas (12/25) for the refund to be issue. Since using Amazon, this is absolutely the worst Customer Service and the worst product that I purchased. I understand things can go wrong and things can break but it is kind of disheartening to wait for Christmas morning to open a product that you spent almost $2000 on to have it malfunction and then get absolutely no customer service for several days. Definitely not recommended, go to the other all-in-one espresso machine manufacturers and give them your money . Juro has no customer service at all.

Not working machine and no support

We bought the machine and it does not work. For two days I have tried to get in touch with Jura and they will not email or call me back. Awful customer service.

Great espresso, terrible milk frother

This is replacing a 12 yr old Jura Impressa that had started to fail. The E6 is more attractive and makes great espresso, which is ALLl I use if for, except I like a LITTLE foam added to my triple 1oz espresso. The frother on this is worthless, it just dispenses warm milk, no way it can be called foam. I expect foam to be the consistency almost of whipped cream, to be scooped out in small amount and added to the strong coffee, but what this produces is basically just hot milk. Not to mention thE convoluted milk system cleraning. I would have been better off with an E4 (espresso only, no milk) and saved $400. Now I have to purchase a separate milk frother to (hopefully) generate the kind of foam I want.

It was worth it.

I’ve had a Breville for years and loved it, but my husband could not master using the puck or getting the right blend. Our friends had a Jura and he was sold the minute he saw how it worked. I tried to reason with him, because seriously, THE PRICE, but he NEVER asks for anything so how could I protest? Well, he was right. This thing is SO EASY and the brew is amazing. It’s hot and stout for me and hot and mild for him so we both got what we wanted. My only complaint (first world problems) is that it uses a lot of water and has to be refilled more than I’m used to. But it’s a small price to pay for such good coffee.

Check real life reviews before buying

Christmas gift 2025… I’ve been a Jura owner for 20 years. My last one lasted 13 years! Made the best froth! Bought this one thinking it should be just as good! NOPE! Makes a great espresso, but the froth is way sub par. Delivered warm milk instead of froth. Unfortunately it was to late to return the machine.. I messed around to much with poor Jura customer service. They went through the motions but refused to stand by their product! 1700 dollar waste. Back to Saeco.

Dependable flavorful coffee.

We just hit 1300 preparations so I think it is fair time to evaluate. This machine has made dependable high quality coffee with little to no problems to date. The quality of end product from the same coffee far exceeds my drip machine- now retired. I have continued to produce flavor profiles in line with my AeroPress Original. The Crema is unfailing and watching it form is a welcome spectacle rivaling a nitrogen beverage settling in a pint glass. Clear glassware is a must. Our preparations are mostly Coffee, Americano and Espresso. We have chosen to forgo the milk frother/steamer for a handheld unit- as the cleaning procedure does not warrant our frequency of desiring a Cappuccino, Latte etc.; perhaps I should have considered an e4. We use distilled water from a home unit, change out the filter as the machine dictates and run a cleaning cycle using Jura products. Emptying the drip tray and grounds catch is simple, and we soak the tray and bin once a week to clean thoroughly. Double check the height of your glassware as to not continually bump into the nozzles- Adjustable height designed for smaller and demi-glass; larger mugs tend to hit and need to be tipped under even at the highest setting. The only problem that has been of annoyance is the beans not feeding adequately from the hopper necessitating the need to pull the lid and poke or stir down the beans to get them to drop. A 3d printed hopper extender has helped with the need to refill too often the added volume/weight of beans helps for the pile to drop on its own.

THE BEST!!

OBSESSED! I can’t even get coffee out anymore because it never tastes good to me! I click the espresso button twice (1.5oz, 4/5 bean strength), grind setting is 2/5! I sweeten with maple Syrup & do whole milk

Great, tasting coffee

We bought this because we drink coffee every day, it is an important part of our day and so we figured we would splurge and get a nice coffee machine. Other family members have got the same brand and they are happy with it. The coffee tastes really good. The only issue I have is the port for the ground. Coffee is kind of a pain to use. It seems to use a ton of coffee for one cup. I could be using it wrong. Thinking about keeping our Keurig on the counter just for decaf when we like decaf.

The Jura E6: A Café Experience from the Comfort of

AI absolutely love my Jura E6 coffee machine! The Swiss-engineered quality shines through with every cup, from rich espressos to frothy cappuccinos. The TFT color display is user-friendly, although customizing advanced settings took a bit of time to figure out. Also, factor for an additional small spend for milk frother accessories.

Maintenance is mostly automated but be prepared to invest in Jura’s specialized cleaning products. It’s a bit of a splurge, but if you’re a coffee aficionado like me, it’s well worth the investment. A solid 5/5 for bringing café-level coffee right into my kitchen.

Comparing it with my previous espresso machine (which was also not a cheap machine), the extraction is much better giving me a thicker espresso every time (for my Ruta Maya coffee beans), much quieter, and easy to clean. Having had this machine for less than a month, I haven’t come across any issue with regards to maintenance. However, the brewing unit is not accessible – so not sure how to get it cleaned.
