Who Should Buy?
The LG QNED85T is ideal for those seeking a high-quality 4K TV with excellent picture quality and smart features at a mid-range price. It is particularly suitable for gamers and streaming enthusiasts who prioritize image clarity and refresh rate. However, if sound quality is a top priority or if you are looking for the highest possible contrast ratio, you may need to invest in a soundbar or consider other models.
Final Recommendation
Most users recommend the LG QNED85T Series QNED 4K LED Smart TV for its picture quality, smart features, and overall value. The TV’s drawbacks, primarily its sound quality and edge-lit technology, are acknowledged but do not outweigh the positives for the majority of users. If you’re looking for a well-rounded 4K TV that offers great visuals and smart capabilities without breaking the bank, this model is a strong contender.

Decent tv if you get it on sale
This is an edgelit tv – not a direct lit mini led.
Like: Pretty good image quality. Sharp, good colors, properly saturated.
Dislike: Edge lit technology issues are apparent and abundant: Light bleed and white blotches are very prominent in dark scenes. Bad sound quality, you’ll need a sound bar.

Best Buy loyal customer no more.
Wonder how Best Buy treats loyal customers and Best Buy members? Sells you this broken LG QNED tv and won’t allow it to be returned. Sorry, should have opened it sooner. Good luck with LG. Best Buy made $246 Million in net earnings last quarter, wonder how?

Pretty good
Good mid range TV. The built in smart stuff works well enough. 120 Hz. Nothing spectacular. The built in speakers are garbage though. Almost unusable. You’ll need some kind of external sound solution.

Tv damaged
** Updated Review **
It was fairly simple to return the damaged TV. It was picked up from my home 2 days after submitting my return & a refund was issued same day.
I gave it another shot and the new TV arrived 2 days later undamaged & works/looks great.

Great quality picture, easy set-up
I did a lot of research on the LG QNED 55″ smart TV and the choice did not disappoint. Easy set-up and installation. The picture quality is an A+ and the sound quality is a noticeable improvement over Sony, Visio and TCL. I like the magic remote, however, i think they missed not having a lighted background for navigating in the dark.

Great picture, bad sound
Picture is a big upgrade over my previous TV, however the sound is noticeably worse. Would recommend a sound bar to go with this.

It’s a fine tv but it’s not a qned85
The 2022 models of the qned85 were all full seat local dimming (uqa). And they quietly removed it from the 2024 models (tua). I’m super disappointed because I had a qned85 and loved it so I ordered the newer version thinking it would be at minimum a lateral move. Nope. But downgrade with the EDGE LIGHTING. Call it shrinkflation or something but be aware. The qned85 series are no longer full array. CHECK OUT THE QNED85UQA if you can find it still. Way better tv.

Clear picture
We went with the 85 series for a sharper picture. The TV is very thin and light weight compared to our last one. Best Buy couldn’t get this model, so we tried and used Amazon. Amazon saved us over $400.00 with less fees. Fees like removal of old TV $60.00 hookup new TV with wall mount $249.00 plus mount $129.00 The deliverymen were careful and did a great job setting up the TV with the included stands. I’ve told several people about these savings and good service.
