Pros & Cons
Pros
- Stunning Picture Quality: Reviewers consistently highlight the monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and deep blacks, thanks to its QD-OLED panel. Many users describe the visual experience as 'amazing,' 'gorgeous,' and a significant upgrade from IPS panels, making games and movies more immersive and enjoyable.
- Great Value for Price: Many customers feel this monitor offers excellent value, especially when purchased on sale. They appreciate that it delivers high-end QD-OLED performance at a more affordable price point compared to other monitors in its class, making it accessible to a wider range of users.
- Smooth Gaming Performance: The monitor's 165Hz refresh rate and fast response time contribute to a smooth and responsive gaming experience. Gamers report minimal screen tearing and stuttering, making it well-suited for fast-paced games and providing a competitive edge.
Cons
- OLED Care Intrusiveness: Several reviewers find the MSI OLED Care feature, designed to prevent burn-in, to be somewhat intrusive. The periodic pop-up and mandatory maintenance cycle can interrupt gameplay or work, and some users wish there was an option to disable or schedule it more conveniently.
- Glare Issues: The monitor's glossy screen can cause glare in brightly lit environments. Some users find the reflections distracting, especially when there is direct ambient light on the screen, which can diminish the deep blacks.
- Inconsistent Quality Control: A few reviewers reported issues such as dead pixels, blemishes on the screen, or the monitor failing shortly after purchase. These experiences highlight potential quality control concerns and the inconvenience of dealing with warranty claims and returns.

This thing is a bargain
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.ChucktownAnimator November 3, 2024Review source: AmazonComing from a 1440p Corsair OLED monitor, this thing blows me away. 165Hz is plenty fast for me, and the picture is brilliant. I was a little concerned I’d have a glare problem in my office since it’s glossy, but I personally have zero issues with reflections, and the difference between this glossy monitor and my previous matte monitor is huge. Super happy with this purchase.

Brilliant
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Casey T. October 27, 2024Review source: AmazonThe colors are vibrant — I do have HDR enabled. Even in a moderately lit, window blinds open to ~45º, the display is still plenty bright. Even at 60Hz, scrolling is super smooth. Of course, at night it’s even bolder. My previous monitors, 1080p curved Samsung and 1080p curved Acer, had something of a ghosting effect. Well, it seemed like reverse ghosting as text would flicker disappear as you scrolled, possibly a pixel latency limit. Height, swivel, and tilt adjusting is very smooth and sturdy, it doesn’t slowly drop or drift on its own — at least thus far. The auto input detect — mostly common nowadays but still — is nice, although, it didn’t take long for me to figure out the controls, even without reading the manual. The OLED Care system can be a little intrusive. However, it doesn’t require a lot of time, five minutes or so. It can be delayed in most instance, though just use that time for a break. And if it truly keeps the panel performing optimally, I’m more than willing to give the maintenance processes the time.

Oh my god, I get it.

Before this, I was using an LG 1440p monitor, which was not perfect but pretty excellent. I’ve been on the fence about switching from an IPS to an OLED, and the price and features of this made me pull the trigger.
That said, I was filled with buyer remorse until I hooked this up and was immediately blown away. By the color, the clarity, the crispness, the deep inky blacks. All of it. One word: fantastic. Worth the price.

As good as it gets for gaming
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.matiwod October 8, 2024Review source: BestbuyI tried a lot of IPS monitors before giving QD-OLED a try, and I really don’t think anyone who gets this monitor will regret it. This is the cheapest way to get the best possible picture for your gaming needs. I thought the LG GR93U IPS monitor I was using had great colors, but the IPS glow was too much.
Switched to this monitor and I’ve been blown away by the colors and contrast. It’s really that good. It will make you want to re-play all of your favorite games over again.
Don’t think, just buy.

Best monitor for the price
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Christian October 3, 2024Review source: Amazon165hz is more than enough since the response time is already low. Not worth spending anymore than 800 on a oled monitor imo. Color, brightness, quality, everything is great. The best bang for the buck monitor out

OLED is the best
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Noah September 29, 2024Review source: BestbuyThis monitor is amazing and for the price it’s a great deal. If you’re looking to play mostly single player games this is the monitor for you since most AAA single player games can’t hit 165 frames anyway. You might have to calibrate the monitor slightly out of the box, but its very easy to do that. This monitor gets firmware updates as well.

Easily best value oled
Kevin S. September 21, 2024Review source: AmazonA 4k oled for only 800 is a steal. Yes you give up 240 hz for 165 but most gpus won’t get you past that anyways. Minor quibble is you cant really hide the cables since the ports are so close to the bottom edge. That said you really can’t go wrong with this monitor at this price
