Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional Picture Quality: Reviewers consistently praise the monitor's stunning visuals, deep blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp details, thanks to its QD-OLED panel. Many users highlight the significant improvement in picture quality compared to IPS or TN panels, making games and other content look incredibly immersive.
  • High Refresh Rate and Low Response Time: The monitor's 240Hz refresh rate and fast response time contribute to a smooth and fluid gaming experience, with minimal ghosting or lag. This makes it well-suited for fast-paced games and competitive gaming.
  • Future-Proof Connectivity: The inclusion of DisplayPort 2.1 is frequently mentioned as a major advantage, ensuring compatibility with next-generation graphics cards and allowing for uncompressed 4K resolution at high refresh rates. The USB-C connectivity is also appreciated for its versatility.

Cons

  • DisplayPort Reliability Issues: Several reviewers report that the DisplayPort connection failed after a short period of use, sometimes within a week or a few months. This issue appears to be a recurring problem, with some users needing to RMA the monitor or seek refunds.
  • High Price: The monitor's high price point is a common concern, with some reviewers noting that it is expensive compared to similar models or previous versions. While many acknowledge that the performance justifies the cost, it may be a barrier for budget-conscious buyers.
  • Delicate Screen: Some reviewers mention that the glossy screen is prone to smudges and fingerprints, requiring careful and frequent cleaning. There are also concerns about the screen's fragility and the potential for damage during cleaning or from accidental contact.

Very good color and crisp text out of the box. Upgraded the firmware no problem. OLED panel care a bit of an annoyance (takes 5 min if you run it manually, otherwise it will run when it goes into powesave), but necessary. Overall I am happy with it.

I do have one con, but this is a con that comes with every QD-OLED Glossy monitor. These screens are extremely delicate and fragile and MUST be cleaned in a specific way and process (do your research!!) Even a slight accidental graze could leave a permanent mark on the glossy coating. BE CAREFUL and treat it like your baby!!

I love this monitor. The reviews I saw prior to my purchase were very positive, and my only concern going in was screen brightness. With HDR enabled it’s almost too bright on occasion, so no problems there. I have this paired with an RTX 5090 and 240 FPS in some of my games is crazy and everything looks gorgeous.

  4. The Screen That Ruined All Other Monitors for Me

I’ve had my fair share of “nice” monitors, but the MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED made everything before it feel instantly outdated. The first time I powered it on, I just sat there—staring at how absurdly vivid and sharp everything looked. The colors have this depth and glow that almost feels unreal, and the blacks? They’re true, cinematic black, the kind you only get with OLED. Whether I’m gaming, editing photos, or even just watching a movie, it feels like the screen pulls me in completely. The 240Hz refresh rate and near-instant response time make gameplay buttery smooth—no ghosting, no lag, just this perfect, fluid motion that makes every frame feel alive.

What I didn’t expect was how much this monitor would change my everyday computer experience. The HDR400 adds this beautiful pop to visuals, and even basic tasks look gorgeous on it. It’s not just for gaming—it’s genuinely inspiring to work on. The design is clean and modern, with a solid, premium feel that matches the performance. And the DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI inputs make it ready for anything, from my console to my MacBook. It’s the kind of monitor that doesn’t just improve your setup—it makes you want to use your setup more. MSI really nailed it with this one; it’s not just a display, it’s an experience.

So, first and foremost. The hardware for the monitor is astonishing. Beautiful picture, almost feels like the screen is coming out at you. Major downfall, software. Unfortunately after a week of use the monitor no longer operated at a 2.1 DisplayPort capacity and reverted to 1.4. After multiple days of trouble shooting and being unable to update the monitor, MSI said to RMA. After reading some RMA reviews.. I got my money back and purchased a pg32UCDMR and couldn’t be happier with the choice I made. Hopefully if you buy this monitor you have better luck. But there’s better out there too.

  8. Not for Photo Editing

    VideoVince September 5, 2025
    Review source: Amazon

sRGB doesn’t allow for proper calibration, and windows has no idea what to do with it. OLED care wants to run several times a day, which takes more than 5 minutes. This is cool for gaming, horrrible for photo / video editing because of how it automatically adjusts brightness levels without warning. I went to bed with a 120 cd/m2, woke up the next day, it was 160 cd/m2. OLED is cool but it’s not ready for editing working.

  10. Displayport died after 3 months, and its a common issue

Displayport died after about 3 months, apprently it’s a very common issue according to the MSI tech support person I talked to. They approved my RMA immediately so I now have to send it off for repair and the shipping to them is on me. The tech said “It’s a very common problem” when I said the displayport stopped working. When it works, the monitor was beautiful, but 3 months on a new monitor to have a port die is unacceptable. If something else goes wrong I will come back and drop it to 1 star….

EDIT and it gets 1 star now for the absolute garbage RMA support. They not only broke the screen when the received it, they pointed the finger at ups then tried to bill me 700$ to put a new screen in it. I told them no, to fix the original issue while i opened a case with ups for an insurance claim. They said “sure no problem we will hang on to it and when you get them to pay we will fix it and ship II back”. 2 weeks later it showed up at my door, completely shattered with a nice note saying congrats your monitor is fixed. Lying clowns. DO NOT BUY MSI, they are thieves and swindlers!!! I am fighting both them and ups right now to get my insurance claim paid and MSI is zero help at all, and in fact have hindered the process by lying and shipping the monitor back broken!!! Never again!! Do not buy this cheap piece of crap!!
