This is my first oled monitor and I wanted to splurge a bit. Upgrading from a Gigabyte 27inch isp 1440p monitor. The deep blacks and contrasts in HDR are amazing. The first thing I booted up was Cyberpunk 2077 and it looked like a new game.
Things I love
The size 34inches is a perfect range for ultra wide. It does not feel to huge for my desk. The curve is subtle enough to know its there and adds to the Immersiveness of the widescreen feel.Things to note.
Glossy panel – bright rooms will reflect any light sources behind you.May need a longer power cable if you are trying to hide your wires and need to run them in a specific way. If your power strip is attached under your desk then no issue. If you need to run it a bit of distance you may have to adjust the monitor to be closer to the strip.
Footprint of the stand is pretty wide if not using a monitor arm.

I”m not sure if this is a newer panel but text looks better and MSI actually shipped this screen with a screen protector to peel off! Dell did not.
Amazon shipped the package in a huge box which I appreciated the package seemed well protected installing it was pretty simple. I updated the firmware but their is a hdr1000 update that made the screen dim very aggressively. I was able to downgrade the firmware and everything is better.
For now I’m content with this monitor and I hope MSI continues to support and patch the hdr1000 but it’s not a deal breaker for me. The experience has been wonderful.
Just want to add the cables are not easy to hide MSI has the ports to low in the back personally I will try to get some right angle connectors to see it that helps.

Something I don’t see mentioned much is the build quality. This thing is super light, almost all metal, and the setup is pretty quick.
You should update the firmware right away though as HDR1000 works on this OLED.
Finally, the controls are the coolest I’ve ever seen. If you use DSP and the USB downstream port hooked to your computer you can change almost all (maybe all, its only been a few hours) settings via an app on your desktop. Pretty damned cool.
