Pros & Cons
Pros
- Stunning Visual Quality: The QD-OLED panel delivers exceptional color vibrancy, deep blacks, and high contrast that significantly enhances gaming and media consumption, often described as a 'night and day' upgrade over IPS or VA panels.
- High-Speed Performance: A 240Hz refresh rate combined with near-instantaneous response times ensures buttery smooth motion and a highly responsive feel, which is particularly beneficial for competitive gaming.
- Useful Connectivity Features: The inclusion of a built-in KVM switch and a 90W USB-C Power Delivery port allows users to easily switch peripherals between a gaming PC and a work laptop while keeping devices charged.
Cons
- Intrusive Maintenance Feature: The 'Panel Protect' function forcibly initiates a 5-10 minute maintenance cycle that cannot be easily postponed or scheduled for off-hours, often interrupting users during critical gaming moments or important meetings.
- Poor Port Placement: The input ports are located very low on the back of the monitor, causing cables to hang visibly below the screen and making clean cable management difficult without the use of specialized 90-degree adapters.
- Technical Artifacts: Some users report issues with VRR flickering in dark scenes and 'black crush,' where fine details in shadows are lost to pure black, though some of these issues have been addressed in recent firmware updates.

Absolutely beautiful and smooth OLED, but also OLED.
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Cayden Prescott February 19, 2025Review source: AmazonThis monitor is absolutely beautiful and runs so smooth, I love the deep blacks and the amazing contrast it has. And the 21:9 is amazing for movie watching, gaming and all around desktop use. And even when right next to my side monitors which are 155hz VA panels you can very easily tell the difference and see just how much better this is. However beware that this is still an OLED screen and will burn in if you let it. I watch a lot of YouTube videos and often fall asleep with them on and as most videos are 16:9 there is black borders on the edges and I can see lines where the videos content is playing at the fake edges of the YouTube player. It’s faint and I only see it when the screen is dark and one color but it is still there, even with the built in burn in protection enabled. However I would consider this my fault, not the screens, since even my VA side monitors show some burn in so it looks like it’s just part of life and you’d have to actively put effort in to prevent it. Other than that this is a great monitor that’s got easy to use software and is nice and big for everyday task for me!

Faulty Panel
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.akairyz January 25, 2025Review source: AmazonAfter 2 days of owning this I ran into some banding issues and then after another 2 days the entire panel shorted out and won’t turn on. When it was working the picture was fantastic with really nice depth. But otherwise pretty disappointing not even getting a week out of it. I’m buying another one to see if I have better luck. But just know it can be a gamble.

B-E-A-YOOTIFUL
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Dan1923 January 21, 2025Review source: AmazonComing from a 32″ 1920×1080 165Hz 1ms LG panel to the MSI QD-OLED UltraWide is a pretty clear distinction. The depth of black and range of colors pop the second it turned on.
Marvel Rivals with the 240Hz refresh and low response time has helped me go from bottom rung bronze to bottom rung silver! I’m not very good, but dang does it look good losing.
**Only giving 4 stars for now as I’m not sure of the longevity of these panels just yet. Update to come.**

Make sure to update the firmware!
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Jonathan January 19, 2025Review source: AmazonWant to start off by saying MSI released a firmware update on 1/17/2025 that fixes VRR flicker and the peak 1000 nits brightness issue – an issue no other OLED manufacturer has fixed yet.
Now with that aside, this is the greatest monitor I have ever owned. Cyberpunk 2077, Max settings, looks like real life. It’s breath taking. The colors, contrast ratio, black level, everything are memorizing. Absolutely worth the money if you have a high end PC to max out games on.
The only negative I have are with the input connection s. They are on the bottom left of the display and are super low so it’s almost impossible to hide the cables. It’s a bit annoying but you can make it work to maintain a clean setup.

Hands Down The Best Looking Monitor I have Owned
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.SWhite January 18, 2025Review source: BestbuyAlright…. So I have had a lot of monitors, a lot of them have looked great, been great for trading and productivity like the Samsung 57″ Neo G9, but this by far takes the cake in terms of image quality.
I can’t emphasize that it doesn’t matter if MSI uses Samsung’s panels or not because the way that they tune them or whatever black magic they use to make their panels look so much better than the competition is just insane.
For relevance I have seen the 34″ Samsung OLED G8, I’ve owned the 49″ Samsung OLED G9, I’ve seen the Alienware AW3423DW & DWF, I’ve had the 32″ Alienware AW3225QF with a glossy 4k QD-OLED display (easy runner up and best for non ultrawide), but even the Alienware with a higher resolution and PPI somehow doesn’t even come close to touching this thing as far as image quality. Another thing I am note sure how MSI has accomplished, but the raised black levels that QD-OLED seems to always suffer from seem to be significantly better on this monitor as well.
It also has the best OLED Care and burn-in prevention feature set I have seen yet so far. I am genuinely not concerned about the potential of burn-in. It’s the ONLY monitor that even after hours of use when touching the back of the panel the thing literally feels cool to the touch and the crazy part is it doesn’t even have fans and accomplishes this with a new passive cooling technology utilizing a graphene film in combination with a specialized heatsink (poorly managed heat dissipation can heavily contribute to burn-in risk).
By far the best monitor, ultrawide (21:9 or 32:9) or non-ultrawide (16:9) that I have ever use and even better yet it will most likely be one of the cheapest 34″ UW’s you find even when it’s not on sale.
