-dreaded VRR flicker, this is common for ultrawides and the workaround is to turn it offOverall: The ONLY reason I bought this monitor is because of the $200 reduction in price. Originally, it’s $899.99 which is competitive but $699.99 sounds a lot more reasonable. The immersion you get from the 21:9 perspective is awesome. So much so that my other OLED monitor (AW3225QF) is not used as much anymore. Definitely worth the purchase. Get it while it’s still on sale!

The SDR and HDR modes are both excellent, though HDR takes some setting adjustments in Windows, and games. This isn’t a fault of the monitor though. MSI’s OSD is easy to use and included software that gives access to the OSD w/o having to use the monitor controls is a nice touch. The MSI Care 2.0 features don’t seem to bother me and the text fringing I had read so much about does not bother me either. If you’re looking for UW and OLED, this would be my pick again and again.
