    We make a lot of smoothies and own several different blenders. What sets this Ninja BlendBOSS apart from the others are two things: the tremendous power for it’s small size, and the fact that other than twisting the blender cup on and off the base, this blender is completely hands off. I can push the “smoothie” button and walk away. I don’t need to continuously hold the button or the cup down, the blender automatically alternates between pulsing and blending for about a minute which perfectly blends frozen fruit, milk, ice, and protein powder. The suction cups on the bottom of the base are probably the strongest I have ever seen on a small appliance. While running, the blender does not move even a millimeter despite the strong motor, rapidly spinning blades, and full cup of ingredients. Other small blenders require that you hang on to it while using or it will scoot across the counter. The only negatives are small design issues. There is a small gap where the handle attaches to the side of the cup. This lets water get inside the hollow handle when washing it. I usually just leave it in a sunny spot to dry and the water eventually evaporates. But if it were constantly wet, I could see this being a breeding place for mold. Not sure if this is an issue with every Ninja BlendBOSS cup or if I just got a defective one so not deducting any stars. The different colors are really cute and fun. However I wish that there was at least one less colorful option (like white, grey, or black) for people who don’t love the offered color choices or who prefer something that would match better with their kitchen color scheme.

    I used to use a Ninja blender (the large one). I found I was only using the blender for smoothies so this was a no brainer. The container with handle is awesome. I should have bought this a long time ago. Highly suggest it for smoothie drinkers. I put frozen bananas and fruit in it and it has no problems. Quieter than previous Ninja blender. Best of all the container is BIG so you can add lots of stuff to your drink.

    My daughter absolutely loves this blender that I gave her! Very easy to use and it’s very stylish. She can put it on her counter or she could put it under her island easily. It’s small enough and not bulky. Works very well with the recipe she’s been trying. I also used it and it seems like a very durable blender.

    I’ve killed two of Ninja’s rechargeable portable blenders in the last year. Weak blending, batteries that swelled and literally smelled like they were burning, constant stalling on anything thicker than water. I swore this BlendBOSS was my last chance with Ninja but it passed with flying colors.

    I throw in the works every morning: milk, protein powder, spinach, half a frozen banana, handful of frozen berries, and a full scoop of ice. Hit the button and 30-40 seconds later it’s a perfectly smooth smoothie – no chunks, no half-frozen boulders, no need to babysit it.

    Only minor quirk: once in a while, for example, a big frozen strawberry lands flat on the blades and it won’t start (safety feature). One quick shake and it fires right up. That’s it. No drama.

    The 26oz tumbler is genuinely leakproof, lid screws on tight, and it’s easy to clean.

    If you’re tired of underpowered portable blenders that die after a few months, get this one. It’s not rechargeable, but it’s powerful, consistent, and hasn’t let me down once in 3 months of daily use. Worth every penny.
