Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional Cooking Performance: The appliance consistently delivers perfectly crispy and juicy food, cooking evenly and quickly for various meals and reheats, often exceeding expectations for crispiness and taste.
  • Versatile & Healthy Glass Containers: Reviewers appreciate the non-toxic glass containers that allow them to monitor food as it cooks, are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning, and offer the convenience of prepping, cooking, serving, and storing food in one dish.
  • Ease of Use & Convenience: The controls are simple and intuitive, making cooking straightforward and fast. Many users highlight the quick heating, lack of preheating requirement, and overall simplicity that makes cooking enjoyable and efficient.

Cons

  • Limited Cooking Surface Area: Despite its stated capacity (e.g., 6-quart), the actual cooking surface area is often considered too small, being taller rather than wide, which limits the ability to cook multiple items in a single layer for a family.
  • Heavy Glass Containers: The glass cooking containers, especially the 6-quart size, are noted for being heavy, which can make them challenging to handle, insert, remove, and wash by hand.
  • Strong Fan Displaces Food: The powerful fan can blow lighter food items, such as pizza toppings or bacon, around inside the container, sometimes requiring users to improvise solutions like placing a trivet over the food.

  1. Ninja CrispiPro turned me into an air fryer fan in just two delicious days.

As a newcomer to air frying, I wanted something reliable and easy to use — and the Ninja CrispiPro delivered. It’s a sleek, well-built unit from a trusted brand, and it made my first foray into air frying surprisingly smooth.
The fryer includes two glass bowls (6 qt and 2.5 qt), each with a permanently attached plastic base and handles. You also get two leak-proof snap-on lids and two metal crisper plates. Everything — bowls, lids, and plates — is dishwasher safe, and the bowls are fridge-friendly for prepping meals ahead of time.
The base slides into the fryer and holds the bowls securely. A bracket adjusts to three positions depending on bowl size, including a third slot for an optional 4 qt bowl. Setup is intuitive: lift, slide, and drop the bracket into place.
Controls are simple and smart. A rotary knob lets you select modes like MaxCrisp, Air Fry, Bake/Proof, Roast, Dehydrate, and Recrisp. Pressing the temperature or time buttons switches the knob’s function. In Bake/Proof mode, turning the knob fully clockwise displays “Proof” — a clever way to distinguish it from Bake.
For my first test, I cooked thick frozen burgers and Brussels sprouts. I found recipes using ChatGPT, seasoned the food, placed it on the crisper tray, set the mode, temp, and time, and hit start. The burgers needed 3 extra minutes to reach 165°F in the center — likely due to their thickness — but came out juicy and perfect. I added cheese afterward, but learned the hard way to keep it clear of the heating element (burnt cheese cleanup isn’t fun). The Brussels sprouts were spot-on.
Day two featured buttercup squash and frozen salmon. Again, ChatGPT helped with recipes. The squash needed 30 minutes total plus a final 3-minute glaze with butter and maple syrup — delicious. The salmon took 4 extra minutes to cook through but looked and tasted great.
During use, heat and steam vent from the top, so I slid the unit out from under my cabinets to avoid damage. The fan makes some noise, but it’s not disruptive. Cleanup was effortless — everything went in the dishwasher and came out spotless.
After just two days, I’m hooked. The included bowls meet my needs, and I don’t see a reason to buy the 4 qt bowl yet. The Ninja CrispiPro feels solid and built to last — I expect it’ll serve me well for years.

I recently bought another Ninja air fryer that I thought was pretty high tech, but this one takes it to another level. I have more kitchen gadgets than I probably need, but I really enjoy finding ways to make dinner faster and still turn out delicious.

This air fryer was super easy to set up and quick to use. I would definitely call it extremely user friendly. It comes with two sizes, a six quart and a two quart, and you can also buy a four quart if you want to add it.

For my first test, I reheated chicken wings from the night before. They came out perfectly crisp and juicy, and it actually took less time than the preset. You do have to keep an eye on it when reheating since it cooks fast. Then I made diced potatoes in the smaller container. I didn’t use the insert because I wanted to see how it would cook without it. At first the potatoes were a little soggy sitting in the oil, but after putting them back in for a few more minutes they turned out beautifully crisp. Next time I’ll just use the insert right away to get that perfect texture the first time.

What I really love about this model is the see-through glass container, the ease of use, and the different functions. I also like that it can reach higher temperatures than my other air fryers, which only go up to 400 degrees. It looks really nice sitting on the counter, and I love being able to watch the food cook without having to open it. I think it’s great for smaller households of one to four people, and it doesn’t take up as much space as some of the larger ones.

It has a feature that lets you store the glass container in the fridge before or after cooking. That’s not something I’ll personally use, but I can see why they highlight it.

My only small complaints are 1) the steel band around the glass. It doesn’t come off, and when you wash it, water droplets tend to get trapped between the glass and metal. They take a long time to dry and you can’t really wipe them away. I found that if I pop the bowl back in the air fryer for a minute, it dries, though it does leave little dried water spots where the droplets were; 2) the cord is very short, although sturdy it could be longer and I wish it was.

Overall, it is on the pricey side, and if you already have an air fryer you like, you probably don’t need to rush to replace it. But if you want to upgrade or get another one with some really neat and thoughtful features, this is a great choice. I’m very happy with it and love how it looks and performs.

this comes in a great big (heavy!) box, but it is, in fact, small enough to fit on a countertop. however, you need to be careful because the vent at the top and back gets extremely hot during cooking, and a lot of very hot, very wet air comes out of it, so if the fryer is against a wall, the wall could get damaged, and you wouldn’t want to put it under a cupboard or anything. it’s still quite a large appliance, bigger than my bread machine but smaller than my microwave. it comes with a small cooking vessel and a big cooking vessel (I wish it came with the middle size, too, but oh well) and has a little support ledge thing that slots into a hole in the neck of the fryer to adjust the height for the smaller vessel. there’s a plate with a bunch of holes in it that goes in the bottom of the vessel for airflow, so if you’re going to marinade or toss your food in oil, do so beforehand or it will just drip through the plate. also, the handles of the vessels are permanently attached. the vessels also come with silicone tupperware-like lids.

I immediately cooked some vegetables I cooked the previous night in a conventional oven, so as to compare. contrary to what I had been told, you do need to toss your veggies in oil before sticking them in the air fryer; I tried doing it without and burned them a bit. however, the air fryer cooks SO much faster. like, less than half the time of the oven. the controls are really easy to use and the vessel just easily slots in against the top of the fryer. there were warnings about the handles being hot but I did not find that I had any trouble with this.

one other thing I did not expect is that the fryer is quite loud, actually. it sounds a bit like the vent fan over an oven. when it’s running, there’s a light inside that makes the whole appliance glow like a nightlight. I kinda like that tbh. very cozy. you could also conceivably heat something on that top vent but maybe wouldn’t want to block it.

haven’t tried the dehydrator setting or the max crisp, but so far I’m quite pleased with this. it’s idiot-proof, and that’s very important to me!

Got this for my wife who’s obsessed with Ninja products and she’s absolutely in love with it. The glass design looks modern and feels surprisingly sturdy but not too heavy, just the right balance. She loves being able to see the food cook and says it crisps everything perfectly without drying it out. Cleanup is super easy and the different size containers make meal prep a breeze. It’s non-toxic, dishwasher safe, and feels really well made. Honestly, it’s worth every penny for the quality and performance.
