Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Dual-Zone Versatility: The independent top and bottom ovens allow users to cook two different dishes at different temperatures and settings at the same time, effectively replacing multiple appliances like toasters and air fryers.
  • Smart Finish Technology: The Smart Finish feature is a major highlight, automatically synchronizing the cooking times of both ovens so that different foods are ready to be served at the exact same moment.
  • Fast Preheating and Cooking: Reviewers frequently note that the unit preheats in just a few minutes and cooks food significantly faster than traditional full-sized ovens, making it highly efficient for daily meal prep.

Cons

  • Difficult to Clean: The interior lacks a non-stick coating, making it tough to scrub, and the downward-opening door design allows crumbs and grease to fall into the hinges and crevices.
  • Inconsistent Toasting: Many users report that the toast and bagel settings are too powerful, often burning the edges of bread or producing 'nuclear' heat even on the lowest shade settings.
  • Bulky Size and Hot Exterior: The appliance takes up substantial counter space and is quite heavy; additionally, the exterior surfaces become dangerously hot during operation, posing a potential burn risk.

  1. Beautiful and Capable

    Review source: Amazon

The best thing about this appliance is that it has taken the place of several of my existing appliances. In one fell swoop it has replaced my toaster oven, air fryer, and conventional oven therefore freeing up precious space.

So far I’ve only used this for simple tasks, as my cooking is quite simple, such as toasting and reheating. In this regard it has performed amazingly well. As a toaster oven, it’s silent. With even the best units I’ve evaluated to date there’s typically a rattle or subtle noise when toasting or heating. Not so here. In fact, it’s so quiet I wasn’t sure it was even doing anything. However, a few minutes later the rolls I was toasting were toasted to perfection.

Because it is a double oven with many features, there is a tradeoff in terms of simplicity.

It’s a bit more complex than your typical toaster oven or air fryer. This results in an extra button press or two to do even simple tasks, in terms of designating the appropriate oven(s) and settings. Even so, the user interface is elegant and simple overall, and it’s easy to get the hang of it after a use or two.

Another tradeoff is that with the racks and drip plans installed there is limited space. So for example, in my previous toaster oven I could simply put a plate with a frosted cinnamon roll in the oven and start the oven to warm it for under a minute. Because of the two oven configuration and racks, the clearance is a bit low and it lacked the depth in order for me to do this. So, I had to remove the drip pan. This isn’t an issue, just more of a nuance of using the oven that I’m sure I’ll grow accustomed to over time. As I use it more I find that even with the drip pans removed, the top oven is practically unusable unless you’re toasting standard bread or bagel slices. For example, if you’re toasting homemade bread, or thicker bakery bread, the clearance isn’t sufficient. Also, if you’re warming items such as frosted cinnamon rolls, it’s unusable in this manner as the frosting will adhere to the top of the oven when inserting and removing due to insufficient clearance. As such, I’ve been using the bottom oven primarily, although this isn’t nearly as convenient.

Similarly, this doesn’t seem to be the type of device where you just throw something in and turn it on, it appears to be meant for more precise use, for example – when preparing a bagel(s) you’ll specify shade and number of slices. That being said, the results are magnificent, so it’s worth the effort. One cool feature is that the oven indicates when it’s hot, with “hot” written on the display, and extinguishes only after it has cooled.

Overall this is a very beautiful and capable oven. It seems to be limited only by my ability to explore its many features, which will be a joy to do. It’s very stylish and will certainly appeal to those with modern tastes. While I would prefer the top oven be larger in terms of clearance, it’s still an amazing appliance and superior to comparable devices.

    Highly recommended.

  2. Works really well!

Man… this little countertop oven packs quite the punch! It’s actually a DOUBLE oven… making it even MORE versatile!

The size of this double oven is about the same size a a typical microwave oven. It’s not too heavy, so installation is pretty simple. It’s an attractive looking, stainless steel finish. The buttons are easy to read as well as the digital screen.

It’s pretty slick the way you can open the door for either the top oven by itself, or for both the top and bottom ovens. You simply pull it open to gain access to both ovens. If you want to access the top oven only, you press the button on the handle and pull.

It has an internal light so that you can keep an eye on whatever it is you’re cooking. It also allows you to do two different cooking types simultaneously. Meaning, you could air fry on the bottom and toast on the top.

As far as the operation of the ovens, it’s not intuitive. You’re going to have to familiarize yourself with how to “drive” it. Once you’ve gone over the instructions, it’s actually pretty simple to get around and accomplish what you want to achieve. It’s simply a matter of selecting the top or bottom oven, then using the dial to determine the function. Setting the time and temperature is achieved in the same manner. As I said, not intuitive when you first look at it, but not horrible once you’ve read the instructions. I’ll admit, it’s not nearly as simple as sticking something in the microwave and hitting a button to heat it up for 1 minute. But then a microwave is just a microwave!

One thing you’re going to have to do is give yourself time to get used to it. My first attempt, in using it, was just to make a slice of toast. I went through the steps to let it know that I was toasting 1 slice of bread. I put it to a “shade” of three… thinking that wouldn’t be too dark. It auto-set the timer to 2 minutes and 54 seconds or somewhere thereabouts. I then started to do something else in the kitchen. I noticed the smell of burning toast and saw smoke coming out of the oven. When I got back to the oven I noticed there were still 55 seconds left on the timer. As you can see, in my pictures, the toast was already well done with 55 seconds still left. If I’d have left that toast in there for another 55 seconds it would have caught fire or just turned into burned char. I’m just saying, keep an eye on it until you get used to how each setting cooks or toasts!

It does a nice job of reheating leftovers… again, keep an eye on it until you’re used to the settings and how quickly it heats or reheats items! I was a little surprised at how quickly it reheated my pizza slices.

The ovens are HUGE but they are large enough to accommodate an oven safe dish up to somewhere around 12×12 inches. Don’t plan on cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family of 12 in it… but cooking smaller dishes for 4 could probably be achieved easily.

It’s a great little addition to the kitchen. As I’ve said, just keep an eye on whatever it is you’re cooking until you get a good feel for it!
