Good but flakey and way too strong for toasting

Unfortunately I wish they made the top oven 1 inch taller. I cannot make baked potatoes in the top oven bec they are too tall to fit! It is only for items that are basically 2.5” tall or smaller.
The buttons require a firm dead center press. It’s annoying. I often need to repeatedly press the buttons. My kids and husband keep telling me it’s broken. No, it’s just very finicky.
My biggest gripe is that it is nuclear re toast and bagels. The temp goes from level 1-7, and slices from 1-6. We first tried a bagel setting 3 temp / 2 slices for a mini bagel and had to pull it early. Then I tried a bagel setting 2 temp / 1 slice and still had to pull it early or it would have burned.
Today I was making eggs and tried to use the toast setting on 3 temp / 1 slice thinking it’s designed for a thinner bread. Whelp it went nuclear. I wasn’t paying attention to it and the result was black. You must use the lowest setting bagel temp 1 and slice 1 otherwise it burns the bagel. Maybe I got a defective unit but it’s way too strong to toast like a normal unit.
What the heck do levels 5,6 and 7 do? Kitchen fire?

Also really love the Smart Finish, my potatoes and roast finish at the same time. I think the toast function works better than the Brevelle brand. The only reason I deducted a star is the noise. Much louder than the Brevelle brand. I did see a couple of other reviews stating it was fairly loud. I haven’t used my regular oven since I purchased it.
