So much that I can hear it in the next room. My cat took to it at first until the cleaning mechanism went on when she was by it and she was too afraid to go near it again. I had to unplug it and we’ll see if she adjusts to the noise afterwards. It’s rather disappointing since I like the concept of this litter box, but due to the noise factor I will most likely be returning it. I might also add it is very large.

Easy to clean, the cats love it. i usually empty the bin every other day. i have 2 indoor cats. once a week i change out the whole litter box.

Granted I’m used to my litter robot that goes pretty fast. My big thing is I hope that my cats start using it as a second litter box.

Trying to find a good spot for it really difficult. It has a very big and bulky design so it stands out like a sore thumb. #2 It is so slow- it could never be the only litter box in the house especially with multiple cats. There is quite a time delay that it’s unusable. #3 Its loud. The motor is loud enough that I had to turn up the tv to hear what it was saying over the top of it. #4 It clunks and bangs while running and scares the kitty. She used it once and then after all the commotion of it running – she wouldn’t go near it again. Having said that- It rakes well- rake goes all the way to the bottom and gets everything fully. I like that there are no containers or extra supplies to buy aside from normal litter. This would be great if you had an out of the way area or separate room for your kitties- it just isn’t for being in my mainstream living areas.

PetSafe is a brand I know and trust and this litter box is impressive. This self cleaning litter box is beyond easy to set up and get working. I think what I like most about this litter box is its well thought out and simple design. I have had self cleaning litter boxes in the past that were overly complicated. PetSafe’s design is elegant with its simplicity. I like that my favorite cat litter works great with this system. I also like how easy it is to clean. The rake has two simple knobs you turn for removal. The catch bin and litter tray are super easy to access. I like the manual rake function and this litter box’s built in safety sensors. Overall, this is a well thought out and executed design that functions as good as it looks. 10/10 would recommend!
