Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Odor Control: Several reviewers highlight the litter box's ability to control odors, especially when used with appropriate clumping litter. Some reviewers mention that they no longer notice any litter box smell in their homes.
  • Cat Acceptance: Many cats readily accepted and used the litter box, with some even enjoying watching the cleaning process. Some reviewers noted that their cats preferred this box over other automatic models.
  • Convenience: Customers appreciate the convenience of automatic scooping, which reduces the time and effort required for litter box maintenance. The easy-to-remove waste drawer is also frequently mentioned as a positive feature.

Cons

  • Reliability Issues: A significant number of reviewers report that the litter box stopped working or experienced mechanical failures (such as the rake getting stuck) within a few months of purchase. Some reviewers mention that the plastic parts are prone to breaking.
  • Noise Level: Many reviewers describe the litter box as loud or noisy during operation, which can be disruptive, especially in smaller living spaces or at night. The noise is often attributed to the motor or the rake scraping against the box.
  • Ineffective Cleaning: Several reviewers note that the rake does not effectively clean the litter box, leaving waste behind or pushing clean litter into the waste bin. Some mention that the rake doesn't reach the bottom of the pan, leading to a build-up of soiled litter.

I was really looking forward to this being my cats new litter box and easier for me to clean. Sadly, I was very disappointed though. It arrived in a plain brown, unmarked box as if it had been reboxed before. It didn’t even last a few days and it just stopped working and the rack mechanism looked to be jammed. I hope the seller is fair and issues a full refund as it looked to possibly have been refurbished which I wasn’t aware that I’d be receiving a refurbished one and it didn’t last even a few days. I did check the reviews before returning it and it said this item is often returned. I will write an updated revieve after I recieve a refund in reguards to fairness and if this purchasing experience was a little more pleasant than it had been so far.

  3. Not worth the price, not long lasting

    Review source: Amazon

I bought the litter box foe a lot less than $279, and thank goodness! It’s not worth that. It really isn’t worth the $129 I paid. Putting a new disposable box in is tedious to get lined up correctly. And the dowells that hold it in place while the machine works are made of plastic! Well, one of them broke-like we couldn’t see that coming. So I paid $43 a year to have it, not including the expensive litter you have to buy. $22 a bag is steep. I’ll try a different brand next purchase.

  4. Don't waste your money

I bought this product in October and by March it was not working anymore. I would definitely NOT recommend this product to anyone. The quality is awful compared to the litter maid one I had for 6 years before it quit on me. I called their customer service and when they couldn’t figure out why it quit working, they offered to sell me a new one. $300 wasted! Also, this litter box does not contain smell very well either.

The litter box was easy to assemble and my kitten liked it really quick. However it’s noisy and doesn’t really scoop up the clumps very well. I have to go after “it cleans” to finish doing the job.

Didn’t even last a year. Getting support from seller is impossible. Website is difficult to navigate. It’s all plastic inner workings.. the spiral rods even. That’s what broke on mine. Have had nothing but issues with this thing. Absolutely not worth the ridiculous price either.

  8. Waste of money

Does not work. Makes more of a mess than a pan with liter. Poop just smeared everywhere. Poop gets stuck in the scrapper. Scrapper pushes poop which then pushes clean liter. Waste liter. More work. Has to trash it. Worst Amazon purchase to date.

  9. Functions reliably, but not suitable for cats with soft stools or diarrhea

    Review source: Amazon

Functions reliably, but not suitable for cats with soft stools or diarrhea. In this case hairless Sphinx cats (2). The soft stools mess up the rake, the tray and the waste drawer which then need to be cleaned and also ends up consuming much more of the expensive crystal litter than dry stools. I suggest if your cat is ill, go back to a standard litter box with a liner until they are well again. The unit is very noisy as it is crushing some of the crystals on every cycle. When changing out the litter, the bottom of tray is coated with a layer of crushed / powdered litter.
I’d rank this as not suitable for all cats, but OK for single healthy cat with solid stools.
