That said, I used to love the PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Pro, and wow—they really evolved with the OpenSky. The design is sleek, setup was simple, and the app makes it feel like I’ve got a feline mission control panel at my fingertips. Bonus points for the health monitoring, because now I can be concerned about my cats’ bowel habits with data.
You’re not locked into one type of litter, which is a game-changer. And even with my Litter-Robots, I think… I actually like this one better.
Odor control is impressive, the open design doesn’t faze my cats, and it fits perfectly into my hands-off, zero-scoop lifestyle.
PetSafe leveled up. And I’m here for it.

We have another of a different brand. This one has a nice open air entrance which is ideal for a larger breed of cat – even a bengal or a maine coon would fit in this thing. It holds a lot of litter and does keep the cat box smell totally contained. The app isn’t all that great but I don’t use the app for my other one anyway. Expensive, but so are most of the other boxes.

It’s an easy set up, comes with bags and a litter mat and all you have to do is install the app afterwards. It has been working well so far!
The price tag however is really steep which is why I’m giving it 4 stars, but it’s a great product! -

We already have an automatic box from a different brand, but I like that this one has a much more open design, since one of our cats is a large breed (24lbs). Very easy to set up, though the app doesn’t have many options, so you have to use the buttons on the unit to level the litter — which I think is a bit weird.
It does have safety sensors and does pause if a cat sticks their head/paw inside of it while it is in clean mode.
Entire unit is very lightweight, but sturdy when set up. Our cats tend to launch themselves out of the box for a victory lap and the box hasn’t budged.
This litter box holds a lot more litter than my other box. The waste bin is also pretty large.I love these boxes. They save me a ton of time and money and don’t smell. I haven’t had any issues with any of our cats using them.
I DO wish this specific design had a soft silicone lip or border so that cats didn’t kick litter out when they jump out, but it’s a minor complaint.
