Faulty sensors, don’t buy

We have tried everything and it just won’t recognize that the tray is in correctly. We manually have to run cycles now by physically pressing the button. Hopefully customer support will fix this, but having to deal with customer service to get issues resolved drains energy and time away from other more important activities. Besides quality build issues, it’s too small and the litter bin is also very small. If you have two cats, forget it. Thankfully, we only have one. So don’t buy!

Bricked Itself in Less than a Week

Guess an expensive knock-off is still a knock-off. It threw an unclearable error message after two days because a little door on the bottom of the box was jammed open. I could not fix the jam or clear the error message no matter how many troubleshooting guides and tips I read. There was no debris of any kind blocking the door. It was simply broken. I could still manually run the cleaning cycle, but it was never going to clean automatically again. Before the week was out, I couldn’t even do that. It was bricked.
So, I boxed it up and sent it back. And then I got a Litter Robot instead, which is what I should have just done from the beginning. The difference in quality is stark. Even if this box hadn’t bricked itself, I don’t think it’s worth the price tag.

The litterbox, when empty is very light weight and easy to move. It’s also a huge bonus that you can use any litter with this box as opposed to others that require special litter.
My cats are very curious about it, I set it up and turned the auto clean feature off so my cats could get used to using it before it started moving. The litterbox has a sleep mode so you can ensure it doesn’t do any cleaning cycles at night, a good thing because if it’s too close to where you’re sleeping the sound might be too loud. There are also lights and a digital indicator on the front of the machine that I can’t figure out how to turn off.
I appreciate that I can manually start a cleaning cycle. The app has other features, it lets you know when your cats use the machine and tracks their weight. So far, I think the purchase is great if you’re looking to clean your litterbox less.
