Pros:
It is aesthetically pleasing.
It’s open top allowing for larger cats to keep their head out and not feel like they are in a tiny space.
It doesn’t seem any louder than the previous litter robot that I had, so that’s a bonus.Cons:
It is too tall to enter, even for full grown cats. They basically have to jump up into it which leads me to believe may cause future issues with the sensor system given it’s supposed to weigh them, and is also controlled by the rotating motor that is attached to one side and not underneath.
I haven’t been able to find a way to cancel the cleaning cycle when a cat is just investigating and places it’s paw on it but doesn’t actually go in (we are checking it out at the moment and are a little unsure).
The power adapter connection port is on the left side as you look at the device and not on the back, limiting the locations where I can place it and creating an issue in my specific case with the planned placement. I will have to get an extension cord to make it work.
It could use a nightlight inside.I will come back after the cats have started using it to update.

During the spin, the sensors detect change in weight and stop the cycle if needed. I made sure I tested these safety features multiple times before setting it up for the cats to use.
The open top is a great feature for bigger cats, which was a major factor on my decision to purchase this.
The barrel is easy to remove if it needs to be washed. The silicon/rubber bottom is a bit finicky to insert, and I couldn’t find instructions from PetSafe on the proper way to put it back in. There’s more documentation for the SmartSpin but not much for this model.
The noise level seems reasonable, on the quiet end IMO.
I’m mostly disappointed that the app doesn’t notify me when the litter box was used, it shows a log on the screen but doesn’t alert me. This seems like a pretty basic feature that could be included.
The weight record is not accurate. I have two cats 9 and 12lbs, and I see records of a 3lbs cat, which is off by a lot! I was watching my cat use the litter box when one of these was registered so I know my cat was inside, using it as expected.
Also, the lights (power/wifi) are super bright and I wish they dimmed during the do not disturb period. If the litter box is near a bedroom, this can be an issue.
I believe all of these issues could be addressed with app and firmware updates. With these issues addressed, this would be a fantastic product.

Setup was as simple as it gets. It came mostly assembled right out of the box, all I had to do was snap the legs in and slide the tray under. There is an app to download but it was easy to use and clear, and I got it added no problems. This design makes it easy to add litter without having to move it around. I like to use Arm and Hammer slide, and it’s worked well.
The box does a great job detecting when our cats go inside, and I like that I can change the delay between use and cleaning to help absorption. I’m finding this litter box really easy to clean because it’s so open. We aren’t having any issues with smell or leaking, and I think the open top is helping it feel cleaner. We’ve had issues before with the closed boxes getting dirty over time and the cats don’t want to use it, but not here!
It’s raised off the ground, but my senior cats have been able to get in and out just fine. If they couldn’t I’d just get a ramp or stairs. I also have a few larger cats, and they’ve had no problems getting in and being able to turn around.
Overall I’m thrilled with this purchase. For how often it’s used and how much we rely on it I think it’s a great value, and has been working very reliably. I’m definitely a fan!

I have 2 cats and moved into a place where the only option would have carpeted floors. I didn’t have internet the first couple weeks so I can say confidently internet not required to use, you’ll miss out on weekly graphs showing 10-13 uses daily etc. The only thing I have to be careful of is only fill the litter to the line. Anything over goes into the waste bin and means you’re alerted to empty bin in record time. But you’ll learn that quickly.
