I use nature’s miracle corn litter in this and it works great because it has tight clumping which is a requirement for this litter box. It’s a bit expensive but the simplicity and safe design really makes this worth it.

I was worried about the height for a 10 week old kitten but with a makeshift ramp it works perfect until she’s older. I also took another comments advice to use with the arm & hammer double duty litter and haven’t noticed any mess or bad smells with this litter. I’ve also been using 8 gallon garbage bags from the dollar tree for the waste box and they work perfect.
