Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. My cat took to it right away, and setup was extremely easy. The weighing function works great for me, no issues connecting to the app, and I have virtually zero smell from the litter box. Cleaning is easy, and changing out the bag is very easy and convenient. It is very quiet and feels like it is built well.

We’ve had it up and running for a few months, and it lets me know when I need to empty the bin, when I need more litter and connects to an app. It was so easy to set up, and my cats prefer this one to the other older ones we have. All of our cats are a little chubby, and they all fit. This one is a little more expensive than my old ones, but it is worlds better, so I am going to end up replacing them all with this Petsafe one.

It filters by slowly rotating and allowing gravity to do the work of filtering, so clumps of urine that would normally break up into small pieces by scooping don’t get left in the pan to contaminate the next round. What’s left behind looks to be pretty clean and lays completely flat. I don’t even bother using the included scented cartridge.

After dealing with some health issues with my kitty a few years ago, this would have certainly been a game changer for us if we had owned it prior to that. Better late than never, though.
It’s very easy to set up and only requires minimal assembly. The legs quickly pop into place, and the litter pan easily slides into its dedicated space. Then you plug it in, and it’s ready to go. I really like the fact that it can be used with any litter, so it’s pretty versatile.
It’s not as noisy as I thought it would be, so that was a nice surprise. It does a good job at controlling the odor in between changes also. Cleaning is a lot easier of a task than a regular litter box, so I’m very happy to have such a time saving feature!
The app was easy to set up, and I like being able to monitor my kitty’s weight as well as how often she’s using the litter box. It definitely gives me helpful information that can give insight to any potential health issues.
The design is obviously quite different from a traditional litter box, so that’s something to consider. The height can be a bit of a challenge for small kittens or for senior kitties who aren’t as agile as they once were, so you may need to also get a ramp to make it easier for them to get in and out of it. So far it hasn’t been a problem for me, but I can easily see it being an issue in certain situations.
This is definitely a nice litter box and will be very helpful at giving you some insight into your cat’s health, as well as to ensure that they have a clean litter box after every use. This will be even more of an advantage if you have multiple kitties using the same litter box. After all, everyone enjoys having a clean litter box to use!

It’s easy to use, the build is nice, not to bulky and not large at all but does the job. No smells, I change it every 3-4 days and do a deep clean once a month. I top off the litter every week. The only issue I have is that sometimes the drawer plates get stuck while its doing a cleaning & I have to take it apart, vacuum around the drawer and then reset it. This would be horrible if it did it on a overnight trip, so I always put a standard box out just incase it gets stuck. I think the price should come down just a little, but over all, it’s a simple solution for a messy problem.

I love the ease of just sliding the tray out from underneath, putting in a fresh bag and being done with it. I have arthritis and bending over scooping litter boxes is not easy. So this litter box seems like it would be perfect, but I did not take into account, that my senior cats would find the whole jumping up and into thing, a bit of a challenge. In fact I really should have thought of that myself, as I would find stepping over a tub a challenge. Im sure I could use a step to help counter my cats issues, but I also think they just don’t like the semi-cover over their heads. They are used to a very large, open litter box. I think the design is good, I think younger cats might take to it much easier then my older Fur-Babies. I think the concept for Senior (People) is wonderful, just maybe not for senior cats. I also think, that had this not been a vine item, I really could not afford the cost of this item, no matter how much I liked it.

I could not be more disappointed with my purchase – and because my 17 year old took care of the set-up and removal of the other litter box, I have no way to get the old one back. She literally threw it in the ditch for the county to pick-up with trash (I could have cleaned it again and done a few things to get more time with it).
This box is far too tall for elderly cats with any joint wear. We had to put a step stool in front of this for both cats to make their way UP into the litter box. At least the other one I had actually offered some steps to attach – as far as I can tell, there is no option from the maker.
This box also holds A LOT LESS than my older litter box. Seriously, with two cats we had to change the bag every 2 to 3 days. Now we are doing it every single day. It also has odd bag “holders” that cause bags to tear. Yeah, just what I want – torn litter bag spilling on my floor.
This box is also so obnoxious and loud. It is always beeping, yelling at us to empty the box (when time). Literally, it will not shut up. We have this box located upstairs in an area with enough room, but imagine hearing that beeping incessantly in the middle of the night. That’s not fun. It makes me want to take a sledgehammer to the dang thing.
The open design is ripe for funk. I thought because of the cleaning cycles I wouldn’t have a chance to really smell funk. Nope. Just this morning my entire upstairs smelled like cat poop. Apparently overnight it got full and what was left was a lot of waste. At least I did not hear the beeping in the middle of the night, but dang – wish I had because the cats had to deal with that for many hours before I got up this morning!
Lastly, every single time you add litter you must recalibrate the box or it will not give you the weight of the cats. I don’t care so much for this at this point in my elderly cats’ lives, but my 17 year old is, and because she takes care of the cats now, she is constantly complaining about it.
This functions, but I DO NOT recommend this for anyone with more than one cat. It isn’t saving you time – you will be cleaning every single day like you did before.
